Chapter Eight: Surprise

"Yah! What the hell are you doing to her?" Chanyeol said surprising Baekhyun. He was standing at the doorway with a bag on his hand and his eyes wide open.

          Chanyeol walked over them and looked at Baekhyun inquisitively crossing his arm on his chest.

          "I have nothing to do with this... I swear, I didn't do anything to her... She said she was cold... She's the one who pulled me in." Baekhyun said defensively making Chanyeol laugh.

          "I believe you brother. She's probably delirious because of her fever. Otherwise she wouldn't even lay a finger on you. No offense." Chanyeol said.

          "None taken." Baekhyun replied. He looked at Sohyun who was sleeping soundly beside him and sighed.

          Chanyeol moved to the other side of the bed and touched Sohyun's forehead. He then proceeded to place a fever patch on her forehead.

          "Ugh. C-cold!" Sohyun said hugging Baekhyun tighter making him wince. Chaneyol chuckled.

          "Sohyun~ah... Sohyun~ah... wake up. You need to take this medicine." Chanyeol said shaking her slightly.

          "Chanyeollie?" Sohyun murmured with her eyes half open.

          "Ne. It's me. You should take this medicine to lower down your temperature, come on." Chanyeol said helping her up. Sohyun took the medicine and went back to using Baekhyun as a human pillow. Much to Baekhyun's dismay and Chanyeol's disappointment.

          "Oh come on!" Baekhyun groaned.

          "Wow! She really is sick." Chanyeol joked. Baekhyun hit him in the shoulders but Chanyeol was quick enough to dodge it.

          Sohyun woke up with the sun shining on her eyes. On instinct, she hid her face behind what's beside her. She immediately opened her eyes when she realized something's wrong with her current situation.

          Sure enough, when she opened her eyes, she saw Baekhyun sleeping soundly beside her.

          She paused and looked at his face. The face that makes a lot of fan girls in and out of the country swoon over to. Pain struck her chest as a distant memory flashed before her.

          It was only then that she realized that she was sleeping with Baekhyun and that the two of them were hugging each other on her bed. She involuntarily screamed and pushed Baekhyun making the latter fall off her bed. She immediately covered herself with her blanket.

          "Yah! What's your problem?!" Baekhyun said agitatedly.

          "What are you doing here in my room, on my bed, sleeping beside me?" Sohyun asked while giving Baekhyun as sharp look.

          "You don't remember? You collapsed from having a very high fever last night. I carried you here. And F.Y.I, you're the one who wouldn't let go of me. Ow." Baekhyun said stretching his back.

          Sohyun raked her head to remember what happened last night. The last thing she remembered was that she was in the kitchen trying to look for fever medicine. The rest was a blur. She immediately covered her face out of shame.

          She then realized there was a fever patch on her forehead and remembered saying Chanyeol's name.

          "Chanyeol." She repeated.

           As if on cue, Chanyeol entered her room carrying a tray of food.

          "I'm here. I heard someone scream. Is there something wrong Sohyun?" Chanyeol asked. He then proceeded to place the tray on her bedside table and felt her forehead.

          "It's seems like your fever is gone now. That's good to know." Chanyeol said smiling at her.

          "Thank you for taking care of me. I'm sorry for burdening you." Sohyun said apologetically.

          "Hey, no problem. What are friends for right? And besides, you're our leader's sister, so you're practically our sister too." Chanyeol replied patting her head.

          "Thanks to you too... I guess."Sohyun told Baekhyun without looking at her.

          "Yeah, yeah whatever. Don't mention it. I'm out of here." Baekhyun said leaving her room and going to his.

          Sohyun discretely followed him with her eyes.

          "Anyway, I made you porridge. I'm just not sure if it's good enough. Usually, it's Kyungsoo who cooks inside our dorm." Chanyeol said.

          "D.O~oppa?" Sohyun asked.

          "Uhm. He can cook really well. He said if he didn't become part of EXO, he'd probably became a chef." Chanyeol said.

          "Well it's a good thing someone knows how to cook in your group. My older brother can only flash his card." Sohyun said making both of them laugh.

          Sohyun stayed inside her room the whole day to rest. Leaving the two boys to fend for themselves.

          "Yah! Yah! Yah! Don't go there stupid! Yah! Aish!" Baekhyun said angrily as he snatch the headphones off his head. He had nothing to do so he have decided to play LOL instead.

          "Baekhyun look! You'll never guess what I found online." Chanyeol said bursting inside their room.

          "What? What is it?" Baekhyun asked curiously.

          "Remember what Kai said about Sohyun making fanfic novels?" Chanyeol asked.

          "Yeah. What about it?" Baekhyun asked.

          "Well, see for yourself." Chanyeol said. He took a seat beside Baekhyun and used the computer to open up a website. After a while, they were face to face with a site filled with different stories.

          "How did you find out about this? And how can you tell these were created by her? The Author was using a pen name." Baekhyun asked.

          "Ah! I was really bored you see, so I randomly surfed the net for various things related to our group. And then I remembered Kai mentioning the title of the last fanfic novel she wrote. So I tried searching for it. This is the first one that came up. I was skeptical at first too, so I read the "About the Author" part on that site and she fits the description pretty well. And, apparently she has a lot of readers. Enough that her books' publisher have held a fan signing event for her in Canada." Chanyeol said showing pictures he found on the internet.

          "So?" Baekhyun asked nonchalantly.

          "So? Aren't you interested to know what kind of stories she have created about us?" Chanyeol asked frustrated about his friend's disinterest.

          "Nope." Baekhyun said.

          "Fine. Suite yourself. They say authors would often project their dreams and fantasies into their work. I might find something here about her." Chanyeol said.

          "If you really wanted to know something about her, why don't you just go to her and ask? You two are already close right? I don't think she would mine telling you what she likes." Baekhyun said.

          "Ah! Well, that wouldn't be exciting now would it?" Chanyeol said smirking as he left Baekhyun alone in their room.

          Baekhyun quickly took his phone and checked for himself. He didn't use the computer as to not risk Chanyeol seeing him.

          He typed in the website and searched. Sure enough, he found what he was looking for.

          "Aish! It's in English. Let's see here... translate page. Alright! Here we go, let's see what psycho girl's been up to." Baekhyun told himself as he read Sohyun's novel.
