Chapter Thirty Eight: Calm Before The Storm

          Taeyeon sighed.

          "Ahhh.... Look at you two. I can almost see the floating hearts around you. So cute." Taeyeon gushed.

          "Really noona? We look good together right?" Chanyeol asked wrapping an arm around Sohyun's waist.

          Taeyeon gave the two of them two thumbs up. Sohyun couldn't help but glance at Baekhyun's direction. For a moment, their eyes met, Sohyun wasn't sure, but she could've sworn there's pain in his eyes. Sohyun immediately looked away and just gave Chanyeol a smile.

          "It's getting late, we should go back. I need to take my medications." Baekhyun said. Taeyeon looked at her watch.

          "I guess you're right. I also have an early schedule tomorrow." Taeyeon said. She walked towards Sohyun and gave her a hug.

          "I really enjoyed hanging out with you. Let's do this again some other time okay?" Taeyeon said smiling.

          "Nado. Sure, let's hang out again soon Eonni." Sohyun said giving Taeyeon a warm smile.

          Taeyeon bid the trio goodbye and went off with her own manager and bodyguard.

          It was an awkward ride back as Baekhyun quietly sat alone in the back seat. He then decided to just lay back and close his eyes.

          "Did you have a good time?" Chanyeol asked Sohyun.

          "Ne. Gomawo. I admit I felt a bit awkward hanging out with Taeyeon~eonni at first. But she's nice. I like her." Sohyun said.

          "That's my girl." Chanyeol said patting Sohyun's head.

          "I'm glad you enjoyed it. So where do you want to go tomorrow?" Chanyeol asked.

          "Tomorrow? Wae jagiya, don't you have any schedule for tomorrow?" Sohyun asked.

          "Nope. I'm done recording my lines for the winter album so, I'm free the whole day tomorrow." Chanyeol said. Sohyun gave him a warm smile.

          "I'm thinking maybe we could start working on our song?" Chanyeol added.

          "Song? What song?" Sohyun asked curiously.

          "Remember when I asked you to help me make an English song? Well, I'm done working on the Korean lyrics, maybe now we can start working on the English translation?" Chanyeol said.

          "Oh, that? Yeah sure. We can do that tomorrow." Sohyun said.

          Chanyeol held the back of Sohyun's head and gently moved her so he could give her a light kiss on the forehead. Baekhyun who just opened his eyes immediately regretted doing so.

          Half an hour later, they arrived back to the rest house. Just then, Chanyeol's phone rang.

          "Ne, Hyung? Huh? Ara. Arasseo. Ne. Ne. Bye." Chanyeol said. Sohyun was about to go up to the house but Chanyeol held on to her hand and stopped her.

          "Jagiya, jamkkan."Chanyeol told Sohyun.

          "Baekhyun, you go on ahead brother. There's just something I need to tell Sohyun." Chanyeol said. Confused and irritated, Baekhyun stomped his feet as he climbed up the stairs to the house.
