Chapter Thirty Four: White Lie

          Sohyun pushed Chanyeol and averted her gaze from Baekhyun. Subtly wiping off her tears.

          "Baekhyun~ie, what are you doing here?" Chanyeol asked. He was a bit frustrated that Baekhyun somehow ruined his moment with Sohyun.

          "I asked Suho~hyung if I can stay here while I recuperate." Baekhyun said.

          "Ah, Jeongmal? Where is he?" Chanyeol asked. As if on cue, Suho walks in.

          "Chanyeol, you're still here?" Suho asked.

          "Ne, hyung. We don't have any schedule today so, I thought I should spend time with MY girlfriend. This is our day one after all." Chanyeol said emphasizing on the word "MY".

          "Oh? So, you have decided Sohyun~ah?" Suho said looking at his sister. Sohyun simply nodded.

          "I see, well congratulations to the both of you. Sohyun~ah, can I talk to you for a sec?" Suho said. He took his sister's hand and ushered her to the study room.

          "What is it that you want to talk about oppa?" Sohyun asked. Suho walked towards Sohyun and placed a hand on top of her head.

          "Are you okay?" Suho asked worriedly.

          "Why wouldn't I be?" Sohyun asked forcing a smile.

          "I'm your older brother. We may not be as close as we were when we were kids since you went to Canada, but I still know when something's bothering you. And besides, even a total stranger can tell that what you look like right now, is not what a person who's spending her first day with her new boyfriend is supposed to look like." Suho said.

          "Wae? What do I look like?" Sohyun said trying to joke around.

          "You looked like someone who just had her heart crushed." Suho said. His words wiping off what little smile left on Sohyun's face. Sohyun gave her brother a meaningful look making Suho sigh heavily.

          "It's Baekhyun isn't it?" Suho asked. Sohyun simply nodded.

          "Okay, tell me what's going on." Suho said leaning on the desk and crossing his arms on his chest.

          "It's a long story." Sohyun simply said.

          "I don't mind. Now, spill." Suho urged.

          Despite hating to relieve what happened that day, Sohyun told her older brother the whole thing.

          "Well, I'm not sure if that's the right thing to do. You might end up hurting even more." Suho said.

          "I don't know oppa. The only thing I can think f doing now, is to believe in Chanyeol and give him a chance." Sohyun said.

          "My poor little sister. I'll leave you all to sort this out yourselves. But don't forget that I'll be watching. Okay?" Suho said.

          "Ne oppa. Gomawo." Sohyun said.

          "Aish jinja. Come here. Give oppa a big hug." Suho said extending his arms coaxing Sohyun to do as he said. Sohyun gave him a warm smile and did as he say.

          "So, you and Sohyun.... Well, Chukhahae." Baekhyun said bitterly.
