Chapter Ten: Falling for You

Baekhyun has been pacing back and forth in his room, not sure on what to do. He wasn't usually the shy type but at that moment, all his courage seemed to have disappeared from his body.

"Should I tell her? NO. That would be very awkward. We weren't really even really talking to each other until now. All we did was bicker whenever we see each other. It would be very awkward if I suddenly tell her I like her. I should make her feel comfortable around me first. Right?" Baekhyun thought to himself.

He looked at his hand again and remembered what happened a while ago. Chanyeol and Sehun were right. Sohyun has a very charming personality. Not that he doesn't know that, seeing as his friends are already mesmerized by her. He's been actually drawn to her ever since he first saw her. And if she wasn't really indifferent towards her, he could be probably swooning over her just like Sehun and Chanyeol. It's just that it was the first time the two of them really had the chance to get along. If he'd tell her how he feels, she might find her weird and might distance herself even more.

But Baekhyun couldn't help himself.

The way she smiles, with her prominent cheeks that would make you want to pinch them. Her eyes are like two black holes that could suck you in just by looking at them.

Her eyes that shines with interest in even the smallest of things.

Her lips. Her very soft lips. Baekhyun knew it's inappropriate for him to think about it but he just couldn't forget how soft and sweet they are.

"Aish! I think I'm going crazy. What should I do? I need to get out. I have to think of a way to be close to her." Baekhyun thought to himself. He then took his coat and went outside.

Sohyun heard the door closed so she immediately stood up and looked outside the window. She gave out a sigh of relief when she saw Baekyun going out. She then sat back down her bed and plopped her chin on her knees.

"I can't do this right now. I shouldn't be thinking about unimportant things. I should be focusing on my novel. That's the reason I'm here right? To focus. Right I should focus on my work." Sohyun said trying to convince herself.

She then took her laptop and went downstairs.

Baekhyun took a walk in the beach. It felt nice to feel the cold Autumn air blowing from sea. Every once in a while he would play with the waves or kick on the sand.

He then saw a conch shell and picked it up. Unintentionally, he remembered Sohyun. She looked so happy yesterday playing on the beach and picking random things.

Just like an innocent child, she seemed to be really enjoying herself with their company. He liked that about her, she can act like a child and play around but she can really become serious at times. If things were only different, he knew the two of them would get along really well.

"Should I tell her something?" He thought. But then he hesitated upon remembering something.

It has been more than a year when he and his ex girlfriend had broken up. His fans had been disappointed when news broke in that he was dating his sunbae from the same company and were only relieved when they found out they had broken up.

Since then he became a bit sensitive every time that topic is being brought up and so he came up with the thought that going out with someone or trying to, should be put aside and he must focus on his career for the meantime.

Although he had completely moved on, he just couldn't forget about how his fans have reacted. As a member of a boy band, it's really hard for any member to be in a relationship.

They could easily loose fans if they found out. He clearly remembered how they have expressed their disappointment when they found out about him and Taeyeon dating.

So could he try and risk it again? He doesn't know.

Just then, he saw a bunch of blue flowers outside a flower shop. He remembered that blue seems to be Sohyun's favorite color. He walked towards the flower shop and asked the store keeper for the blue flowers.

He then bought them and had them wrapped neatly.

"She's going to love these." He thought to himself, smiling as he smell them.

Sohyun was staring again in front of her laptop. Absorbed with her work. She's been trying to re read her work for the nth time now. She was really unhappy with how her story has been progressing. She had been revising and editing a couple of words and sentences every now and then but still wasn't satisfied.

She was deep in thought that she didn't realize someone came in.

"What are you doing?" Someone spoke from behind her making her jump.

"Kkamjagiya!" She blurted out.

On instinct, her hands flew right across the face of the one who spoke behind her. She immediately covered her mouth when she realized who it was.

"Ow! That hurts!" The man said crouching down while holding his face.

"Oh my God! I am so so sorry Chanyeollie. I didn't realize you came back." Sohyun said apologetically.

She quickly crouched down as well cupping his face with her hands. She scanned his face for any marks.

"I'm really sorry Chanyeollie. You surprised me. I hope I didn't scar your face. Oh.. Your fans might get angry if they see any bruise." Sohyun said nervously.

Chanyeol starred at her. Her eyebrows were scrunched eyebrows and she kept on biting her lower lip. She clearly looked worried about him making his heart melt.

Chanyeol couldn't help but smile at her facial reaction.

Sohyun realized Chanyeol was smiling and starring at her causing her to feel conscious. She quickly stood up and looked away. Chanyeol stood up as well.

Standing in front of each other, one can easily see the huge difference between their heights. With Sohyun's height, she barely reached Chanyeol's chest making it easier for her to hide her face.

Chanyeol reached out and raised her chin making her look at him.

"You look pretty when you blush like that. Do you know that?" Chanyeol said looking at her in the eye.

"Why do you always say I'm pretty or cute? I'm not." Sohyun said.

"Yes you are. You don't just look pretty..." Chanyeol said removing Sohyun's glasses.

"You look beautiful." He added making Sohyun's face even grow hotter.

Just then, Baekhyun came in carrying the flowers he just bought. He was about to call on Sohyun to give them to her when he saw her and Chanyeol starring at each other, while Chanyeol was holding her chin up.

Seeing the two of them like that somehow sent a pang on his chest. He wanted so much to take Sohyun's hand and take her away. But he was somehow rooted on his spot and was unable to move. He can't even find his own voice and call out to her.

Not wanting to interrupt the two's moment together, he turned around and went back out.
