Sohyun woke up early that morning with a heavy heart. A few months ago, she wanted to finish writing her book as soon as she could possibly can as she never really intended to stay in Korea for long.
But with all of the things that had happened since then, all the memories and experiences, despite the all heartache, she regretted she ever left her home country in the first place.
Wanted to clear her mind. Sohyun have decided to have one last walk down the beach with her dog, Somi.
Passing down the places she regularly been to, seeing the familiar faces of that small town's people, greeting her warmly as she does, Sohyun couldn't help but tear up. She thought she would really miss everything about that place.
It didn't take long before she reached the beach.
The cold wind blew on Sohyun's face and she could taste the saltiness of the winter sea air. She hates being this cold, but since she doesn't know when she will be back in that place, she thought she might as well just enjoy the view.
Sohyun found the sound of the waves splashing and the seabirds flying above her head is quite soothing as Somi ran freely around her master.
She hasn't been there long when she heard a familiar voice calling out her name. She turned around and smiled at the new comer.
"Jagiya. I thought you'd never come." Sohyun said smiling at Chanyeol.
"I contemplated weather I should go or not... But, I just couldn't bring myself not to see you off." Chanyeol said.
Sohyun playfully hit Chanyeol's arm making them both chuckle.
"Thanks for coming. I was afraid you wouldn't really show up." Sohyun said.
She took Chanyeols hand and began to walk.
"But Sohyun...." Chanyeol said stopping her.
Sohyun craned her neck and gave Chanyeol a confused look.
"I still think our story ends here. Let's break up." Chanyeol said.
He took Sohyun's other hand and held onto it.
"I did a lot of thinking... and I'd say I'm probably going out of my mind for doing this doing this... But, I just have to let you go." Chanyeol said letting out a heavy breath.
"Chanyeol stop..." Sohyun pleaded.
"Sohyun mianhae... I love you... God knows how much I do. And the only way I can think of to prove it, is by setting you free. I know you really tried. But I don't want to see you and Baekhyun hurting anymore. He's the one that's really meant for you." Chanyeol said.
"Chanyeol, no." Sohyun said in almost a whisper.
"Your heart doesn't really belong to me in the first place. So, It's just right that I should give it to it's rightful owner." Chanyeol said.
He then cupped Sohyun's face and wiped the tears that's flowing freely down her cheeks.
"Uljimala, Sohyun~ie... Jebal. Who knows? Maybe in a different time and place. When things have been different, in a different story, we could have had our happy ending together. Right?" Chanyeol said forcing a smile on his face.
