Therese Cox's POV
I still kept running, constantly turning around block after block. I don't even know what I was running away from, but I felt like I had to. I was almost raped for God's sake.
I saw the usual road, the one where I work and across the street is the bar I first met Louis. I couldn't help but let my tears stream down my face, where is he when I need him? I just want to hear him say everything's going to be alright, I just want to hear the words from himself.
What if Cody's friends are after me? or Louis?
I bumped into a large figure making me fall to the ground. I looked up to see a man standing in front of me. I couldn't tell who, it was too dark out.
"Please don't hurt me." I beg crawling away from him while still facing him.
The figure moves to get closer to me, kneeling in front of me.
"Thea?" The familiar accent rang through my ears. "Thea it's me Louis." He cups both my cheeks.
Relief washes over through me, more tears fall down my face.
"Shh.. Shh.. I'm here. You're safe." He hugs me and I couldn't help but hug him back.
"Louis.." I say in between sobs against his chest.
"Yeah?" His hands move up and down my back.
"I'm scared." I blurt out. I wasn't suppose to tell him anything, that's what Cody's friends told me.
"Don't be, I'm here. You're okay." He hugs me tighter, I hug his torso even tighter letting all my emotions out.
"Come on, I'll take you home." He picks me up, bridal style, I dig my head against his neck inhaling the sweet smell I always liked, but it had a hint of alcohol.
He unlocks the car door and settles me down the seat and closes it. I wipe off the remaining tears with the back of my hand.
He hops in his car, holding my hand while drawing small circles with his thumb.
"Tell me everything." He asks.
Do I tell him the part where I made out with Cody to save him or not? No, my mind prefers.
I told Louis about Cody asking me out at school, then he made me meet his parents, then we went to to the cake shop they own and we were all alone. We made cupcakes then after that he tried to have sex with me. His features hardened when he heard the words "sex" and "Cody" together. I left spare details of Cody's friend's threatening me of hurting him.
"What?" Louis almost shouts.
I look down at my fingers, what now?
"We've got to report him to the police, Thea!" His voice was so loud that it made me frightened of him.
"No we can't."
"What do you mean we can't? Are you dumb?"
Dumb? He called me dumb for trying to save him?
I find myself opening the car door, stepping out of it.
I slammed the door shut, running again towards my house. I hear another door shut behind me and I immediately knew who it was.
"Thea!" I hear him call out. "Thea come back!" I could hear his footsteps behind me. I feel a hand wrap around my arm, forcing me to turn around and face him.
"What!?" I shout at his face.
"Thea.." He sighs cupping my cheeks, once again, with both of his hands. "Thea please listen to me."
