Therese's Point Of View
I'm wearing the dress Kate and Selene chose for me, I actually like it despite it being too short but it's nice. It hugs my waist tightly revealing the curves I never knew I had. And here I am sitting at the back row of Drew's car beside Kate and Matty, and in front are Selene and Drew. I asked permission from my boss to have a day off and so did Cody, probably he's attending the party as well.
"We're here!" Drew calls.
Matty stepped out of the car to open the door for Kate and so did Drew, opening the car door for Selene. Here I am opening my own car door, I'm quite jealous, I guess it is horrible being single. I don't even know what it's like falling in love, love can't compare to a 'crush' like I had on Ted. Is love really blind? Could it really change you and is it whether for the good or bad?
We enter the house, it was huge and modern actually. It's only been an hour since the party started and there were already too much red cups littered on the floor. Most people were dancing in the living room as if no one was watching.
We took a seat at the couch near the kitchen, and we've been handed by a cup filled with liquor. I guess it's not such a bad time to drink, I could probably forget about Ted.
I gulped the whole cup in a matter of a minute or two.
"Woah Thea take it slow." Matty teases. "Want another?" He offers and I nod.
He hands me another cup filled of liquor and I drink it half way through until someone greets us.
"Want to play beer pong?" The girl asks. This girl.. i finish my drink while thinking who she was, she seemed so similar.
"No we're fine." Selene refuses.
She's the girl that kissed Ted!
"I'm playing." I say without even knowing. All eyes were on me. Kate, Selene and Drew were surprised but Matty just cheered me on. I watch the girl smile and motion me to come along.
We push our way through the crowd in the living room to reach the table lined with cups full of beer.
"Found a new player!" The girl shouts enough for everyone to hear.
Some of the guys whistle at the sight of me probably because of my dress, I'm a bit intoxicated to care.
I watch as Kate and Matty make their way through the crowd to get to where I was.
"Are you serious Thea?"
"Yes." I laugh.
"You're already drunk."
"No."
"Oi! Let her play if she wants to." The guy calls out.
After a few turns of playing beer pong I drank 4, 5, 6, oh well I lost count. My team won, my partner Lisa drank 5, got sick and went home after the game. And the girl who kissed Ted, passed out and was brought upstairs.
I try to walk towards Kate but I stumble on my own feet.
"You okay?" Cody grabs my waist to help.
"Yeah." I laughed.
"Drank a lot, i see." He observed the empty cups that used to be filled with beer scattered on the table.
"Probably drank like 6, 7, or 8 in total tonight." I proudly say.
"Wow, and you haven't passed out?"
"Not even close." I trip over my feet again and slammed my face on his chest not too hard.
