Therese Cox's POV
We're driving through the dimly lit village I live in, where the street lights were not so bright making the place all dark.
Louis insisted of me staying over, as much as I want to, I have to go home and check on my mom.
Our car turns to a halt and parks just across my house.
"Thanks for driving me home Louis." I say awkwardly, should I hug him or-
He answers my thoughts when he cupped my cheek and his lips meeting mine. A spark of fire lit up at the pit of my stomach as our tongues moved in sync. He pulls away only to smile at me.
"Why are their rules when they're meant to be broken?"
He must be talking about the time where I told him no kissing for a week.
"Well I've heard of a saying, you should break rules while you're young." I smirk.
"Yeah so that I'll have something to look behind me when we're old." We both say in unison.
I was literally close to tears just by thinking of the two of us, growing old together, our hands intertwined with each other as we say our constant "I love you's" then when one of us was weak we'll be at the hospital together, we're holding hands and we'll use our last breath to say one last I love you.
"Well I guess I'll see you tomorrow rosy-cheek." He teased.
"See ya!" I roll my eyes playfully at him, stepping out of the car. He waited for me to reach my doorstep before he drove off with me waving my hand goodbye.
I twist the doorknob in search of my mom.
"Mom?" I call out, my voice being the only source of sound of the silent house.
"Mom!" I shout louder.
Did Cody's friends do anything to her? Shit.
"Mom." I mumble to myself, hoping she was okay. I enter each room to find it empty.
I begin to dial Louis number and at the second ring he answered.
"Hello?"
"Louis, it's Thea."
"What's wrong?"
"I can't find my mom."
"Didn't she just have work?"
"No.. She's on a break for a week we were supposed to go to the mall right now."
"I'm on my way." I hear the screeching tires through the phone.
I sat at the couch in the living room to dial my mom's phone next, I heard the familiar ringtone in the kitchen. I sighed and lazily stood up, how could she forget leaving her phone?
My name was lit up on the screen, I ended the call the same time I notice a car park outside. It was Louis.
I watch as he ran to the door and opened it quickly he sighed as soon as he sees me safe and unharmed.
"Thank God." He walks over to me to give a quick hug. "Have you tried calling your mom, maybe she went out."
I raise an eyebrow before showing him my mom's phone that was in my hands.
"I have no idea where she is." I said. "Her shoes are there, her car is there. What if Cody's friends took her and I-"
"Stop." He pauses. "Stop thinking like that." He scolds.
