Thea's POV
The kids both covered their ears once the explosion was heard over the loud music at the bar just across the street. There was two guys who went outside to check what happened and quickly went inside to probably inform the others.

"Stay inside the car." I told the boy. Thankfully my car keys were in my pocket. He sat at the back row and I placed the little girl beside him.

I left my journal in my bag dammit but it's alright. I hope Raul is okay. I think Cody got out before the explosion. I sigh to relieve my anxiety.

I went back to the kids and see the boy crying. I kneel down to face him.

"What's wrong?" I wipe his tears away with the back of my hand.

"Mummy's still inside." The boy sobs.

Oh shit.

"I'm going inside to call your mummy okay? Don't go in there no matter what okay?"

The boys nods.

"Pinkie promise?" I held out my finger.

"Pinkie promise." The boy smiles.

I went back in the shop as quick as possible the air was replaced with smoke and I struggle to breath.

I check around to see anyone but find nobody. I went to the girls bathroom but it was locked or blocked my something.

I was knocking but nobody was opening it. I kicked quickly and as strong as possible due to the pressure.

The door opens and I am horrified.
There is a half-naked woman with a slit on her throat. Her body bathed in her own blood.

My breathing starts to quicken and I could hear my own heartbeat.

I slowly back away from the horrific scene in front of me until I feel my body collide with someone else's.

I scream.

I scream as loud as possible and kneeled on the floor covering my ears. What if i'm getting killed now?

Someone grabs me by my arm to stand me up and I am more than thankful to meet a pair of blue-green eyes that I haven't seen for days.

He looks in the bathroom and swears under his breath. I started to cough like crazy since there's nothing but smoke here.

"Thea! Let's get out of here!" He shouts and pulls me toward the exit.

Finally we are outside and I could breath fresh air.

"Thea what is wrong with you going back in there?"

"The kids." Is the only words I said. I went back to my car to see the boy hugging his little sister tightly.

"What happened?" I tried to calm down and pretend everything's fine.

"I can't tell you." I look around the car to see the passenger's door is slightly opened.

"Did anyone come in here?" I asked confused.

The boy stays silent. I check the passenger's seat and it was now empty.

"Thea!" Louis calls.

"We should leave it's dangerous to be here." He rides the passenger's side and I ride into the driver's seat.

I quickly backed away from the burning shop and drove away to the police station.

"Are you alright? You scared me half to death when you suddenly screamed."

"Y-yeah." I heavily breathed out.
"Who are these kids?" He turns around and looks at them.

"That was their mom." I replied hysterically. The image flashed in my mind again and I can't help but shiver.

"Oh." He replies.

The rest of the ride was silent, no one dared to speak. I broke the silence when we reached the police station and opened the door for the kids.

"Let's go." I hold the boys hand to help him get out and I carried the little girl. The boy and Louis was walking behind me and finally Louis holds the little boy's hand he tenses at first but then relaxes. We went in the officer's office to report.

"Good evening take a seat." Officer Mina says.

I set the girl down to sit on my lap while I hug her and both Louis and the boy sit across us. I decide for awhile if I could let the children stay but I thought about what their reaction will be when they find out what happened to their mum.

"Louis, do you mind taking both the kids outside." I hope he understands that the kids can't hear what happened to their mum.

"Okay." He takes the little girl from me and instructs the boy to follow him outside.

"What a nice family you have." The officer compliments.

"Oh um they aren't. He's my boyfriend and those kids.." I struggle to find the words. "I met those kids at the cafe where I work awhile ago. There was an explosion inside and I took both of them outside to my car."

"Okay." The officer encouraged.

"They were crying about their mom still inside so I went back. The girls bathroom appeared to be locked but when I kicked it open I saw their mom half-dressed with a deep cut on her throat."
The officer nods and writes the important details in her notepad.

"Let the kids in, I have to talk to them."

"Do you mind not telling them about their mom? It might traumatize them."

"Of course I wouldn't, yet." she smiles.

I understood that we couldn't hide this incident from them forever.
I stood up and went outside to see Louis playing with the kids. He never looked so happy and so are the kids. I like this side of him.
I clear my throat and met his gaze.

I smiled and walked towards him to kiss his cheek and pick up the little girl who has her small little arms raised up waiting for me to pick her up.

"Let's go inside." I tell Louis and he holds the boys hand.

We all sat down and the officer asked the kids' names.

"Hey there." She smiles. "What's your name?" She asks in a happy tone.

"I'm John and that is Jane." He points to the little girl.

"Nice name." Officer Mina smiles. "What's your last name?"

"Ramirez." John answered.

Officer Mina writes it down in her notepad. That name sounds familiar.

She starts to type something down on her computer. She mentions an address and asked if they live there, John just nods.

"Who lives there with you?"
"Cody." John says. Both Louis and I quickly looked at each other.

"Cody Ramirez?" I asked John.

"Yeah, Cody's my brother."
