Therese Cox's POV
It's been an hour since Cody took me here to meet his parents. They're kind actually just like Cody, they're comfortable to be with just the same way I felt when I first met Cody. When his mom told me 'Cody's heart stopped' when he first saw me, does that mean he had liked me for almost a year?
Well boys are good at hiding their feelings, just like Louis.
Oh yeah Louis, I wonder if he's with that girl right now, laughing and exchanging I love you's just the way we did. He made me fall in love in just a matter of a week, is that even possible? I know this is not some type of your usual "Romeo and Juliet" whom got married the next day they met, this is reality.
I'm stupid enough to give myself to him completely, I've known him for a week and I know every single decent person would tell me, "Didn't your mom tell you to not trust strangers?"
That's what we are strangers.
Love is too overrated, well I think it is because I never truly understand it. Is it true that you feel your heart beating out of your chest? Is it true you smile like a silly little idiot when you hear the name of the person you love? If that's true I've only experienced it with Louis not Cody.
Yet here I am with Cody and his parents, as if Cody's already wanting me to be in a relationship with him.
"Earth to Thea." Cody whispers making me go back to the present before his parents notice I've been in deep thoughts.
"Yeah." I sigh, I think I need to get out of here. They're fun to be with but I need to lay down on bed and re-think about my life.
"Let's get outta here I'm sure you're getting bored and so am I." He whispers again.
"We still have a dinner date so.." He announces for everybody to hear.
"Oh right, right. I'm sorry okay go ahead have fun." His mother stands up from the couch and walks towards me. "It was nice meeting you, Thea." She quickly hugs me again before Cody leads me to the door.
"Bye Mr and Mrs. Ramirez!" I tell them before we finally exit the small home.
I get in the car myself, not being able to wait for Cody to open it for me. I know he wants to show off his gentleman side every date, but I want to hear an explanation why they live here and I find it weird and creepy.
He hops in the driver seat before the car started roaring and soon the sound faded out before he turned on the radio.
"Why do they live here anyway? Is it safe?"
"Yeah it's safe, I don't know my mom likes the nature things you know." He lets out a laugh at the end.
"Oh by the way, that wasn't the date just to make it clear, they're just dying to meet you and they were basically begging me to take you here for awhile." He adds a sarcastic tone when he said 'awhile' because it clearly took took to long, an hour to be exact.
We're finally driving pass by the city again, it's a long drive actually it took about a half hour to get to where we are, we parked in front of a cake shop it wasn't as fancy as the last last date and i liked this better the building looks simple.
He steps out of the car I study the small cake shop whilst waiting for him to open my car door. He offers his hand to hold and I accept it, he soon wraps his fingers with mine as we walked towards the shop.
"Um.. We own the place." He shyly smiles down at me.
"Really?"
"Yup." He digs his pockets for something, he retrieved a key and inserted it in the lock and twisted it open.
