Final Arrangements

*Katniss's POV*

By the end of another week, we have decided on everything except the invitees. I chose a simple long, strapless white gown with Primroses embroidered on the side all the way down with a veil made of lace with the same Primroses. Peeta has decided to make the cake and keep it a secret until the big day. The wedding will be held in the meadow under a canopy made of vines and, you guessed it, Primroses. So everything is ready except the invitations.

I still haven't called Gale, and I'm worried. After he moved to 7, we haven't talked a bit. Effie prods me on until finally I give in. I call Gale that afternoon. It rings several times before he picks up.

"Hello?" His deep voice answers.

"Hello? Gale? It's Katniss Everdeen."

"Catnip! Hello! How are you? We haven't talked in a while! Wassup?"

"Hey. I'm great. Um... I'm calling you because I'd like you to come to 12 for a few days maybe? Not for a few months of course...."

"Yes! I'll pack right now! I'd love to come...."

"No, Gale, I don't think you understand. You can't come right now, but in a few months I would like you to."

"Well why not now?"

"Well," I start slowly, "Peeta and I are getting married and the wedding will be in about 2 months and I think it'd be really nice if you came."

It's quiet on the other side for a few minutes, but he answers eventually.

"Catnip, I think that's wonderful. I'm sort of lost for words right now."

"Wait, you aren't mad?"

"Why would I be?"

"I don't know....."

"Catnip, I don't know if you know this. I have only been jealous of Peeta once. When you were in your first games like, 3 years ago. That's it. If anything we were just unknown strangers to each other. I've never been his enemy, and I've never hated him. We became sort of friends during the end of the rebellion. I don't hate him and I'm happy for you. And of course I'm coming to your wedding."

"Wow. Well, I hope you're doing well. I've got a lot to do to prepare, so I'll let you go. I'll call soon."

"Oh, wait, Catnip. I have to tell you something, too."

"Sure, anything."

"Well, I'm also getting married. To Johanna Mason."
