Chapter 16: Torn

[ KAITLIN'S P.O.V. ]

Everyone in the hallways are keeping their distance away from me which is a good idea after all I'm in a sour mood since this morning or else they might get a taste of my wrath.

"Kaitlin!" at the sound of someone calling my name, I turn myself around to see Cade walking towards my way.

Seeing that there seems to be nothing of importance with his greeting, I walk towards the other way around to avoid his attempt to converse with me.

"Hey! wait up!" Cade's voice is loud enough to gain the attention of everybody but if I were to say, its not like his looks didn't do so because once he had step inside the campus ground every female that is in sight became attracted to him immediately.

Still, it wasn't enough to stop me from my tracks. Turning left, I swipe my I.D. in the scanner to enter the library.

Seeing that there are only a few students here due to the preparation for the Welcoming Dance and if you're wondering as to why am I not being chase by my pursuers today then this is also the answer for that.

The Welcoming Dance is a tradition in which all the student's shall participate to celebrate the school year with carefree and cheerful attitudes even though its been a dew weeks after the first day.

It is also the chance to socialize with one another without worrying about their respective year level plus there shall be invited schools to attend the said dance to let the students be aquatinted with.

I walk towards the second floor of the library as I look for the shelf where the book entitled "The Hidden Tale" is located at.

Finding the book wasn't so hard since not many people would read stuff from this part of the library for it contains old materials in which the students never gave attention to.

Wanting to read the book, I walk towards the farthest back to hide from unwanted attention to avoid any disturbance once they find me but before I could reach my destination, something or should I say, someone caught my attention.

On one of the window's of the library is a man who is currently sleeping while sitting in an upright position while his hands was holding a book.

Curious as to what he's reading, I walk closer to his position as I got a better look of the title.

H&H was the only thing that is written on its cover making me more interested by its content and having the urge to find it out, I carefully reach my hand to try and get the book when suddenly the man stir from his position making me jerk my hands back to my side while the book falls to the ground.

My heart is beating fast from nervousness but once my gaze look over his face it accelerates by a notch.

The man in front of me has raven hair, a strong jaw, long eyelashes, a brood shoulder and a body that could make any girls drool while the guys would be jealous to have it and the more my eyes scrutinize him, the more he reminds me of someone but I can't remember who.

The sun's light only give the necessary effect that could enchant you towards him cause his sleeping form is so innocent and serene although earlier when he stirred from his slumber some of his hair had fallen,hiding his closed eyes and without knowing it, my hands reach up to fix it.

His raven hair is so soft to the touch that I got a little carried away only to be shock when the man sleep talk on a quite voice for a sec but I didn't caught on and because of this my gaze lowered to his lips.

Suddenly I felt a sudden pull, encouraging me to do something that I knew full well that I'll be embarrass and guilty about but my body won't listen to me at all as I lean closer to him.
