Chapter 24: Voices

[KAITLIN'S P.O.V.]

I kept on gazing at the beautiful night sky, thinking that maybe I would find my dark angel once again.

Its been 3 days since the last time I saw him, 3 days of so many questions that was left unanswered but the only strong thing that I could feel was yearning.

Its as if he's someone I know, someone that is close to me, someone that cares for me or maybe someone that I've treasured but, sadly, I can't remember at all.

'That's because its sealed'

Luc's words entered my mind from our meeting at the roof top.

'Sealed? Does that mean some of my memories are being block? but why? '

Lost in my thoughts, I became unattended of my surroundings making me jump when cold hands touch me.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you" Archer apologized as he gazed at me, concern is written in his eyes.

My heart was still beating faster and yet the cause seems to differ from the surprise that I got but something else that I can't name.

Archer's eyes lock gaze with mine. His forest green orbs, engulfing me with sudden warmth.

The way he looks at me reminds me of my dark angel. I'm not attracted to him but I can't escape the pull between us.

The night sky is like giving me a sign as it glows right at us, enlightening his feature.

His eyes never left mine as it shows glows with something but as quickly as I saw it, it disappeared making me frown.

"Why are you still awake?" His velvet voice burst my bubble of thoughts as I came back to reality.

"I... uhm.." I fidget with my hands as I look away from his face towards the forest.

Contemplating of what I should say because lets face it if I told him the truth, He'll find me as a lunatic.

That's why I choose to be vague instead "I... uhm... can't sleep"

He sighs at my answer and ruffle his hair.

"You need to take a rest"

"I've been resting most of the time" what I said was the truth. Ever since the accident at the Reflection room at the Dark Maze, they've been annoying me to take a rest like a fussing mother and it annoyed me to hell.

Archer laughed at what I said and I must say, it was a nice sound to hear making me smile.

"Can't really blame you for that" Archer said and slowly his lips form into a smirk "Then would you like to join me?"

"Join you?" His words confuse me but his eyes gave away a little information because it was twinkling in mischief.

"Yup!" At that, he slowly walk backwards still smirking and once he was fully inside, he turn his back towards me and walk away.

Curious as to where he might led me, I decided to follow him.

15 minutes later and I'm already outside at the back of the house.

The backyard is like an enchanting garden where fairies might live.

There's a little fountain on the middle where different gnomes are place around it. Different types of flowers are in full bloom. There's even an apple tree on the far left corner but what's really mesmerizing is that the whole mini garden is surrounded by fireflies.
