Chapter 12: Reason

[ KAITLIN'S P.O.V. ]

Clasping the door's handle, I gulp in nervousness as I slowly open it only to find nothing.

Yup, all I'm seeing is the rails of the rooftop, the view of the school's clock tower and nothing more.

And yet something tells me that I should walk in even though there's a big chance that what I'm feeling is wrong. I walk inside the rooftop until I reach the middle.

I scan my surroundings to see that the place is deserted and since I can't find anything suspicious, I turn around to walk out of here when suddenly a strong gush of wind pass through me making the door of the rooftop close with a large bang.

"Leaving so soon, Kaitlin?" Due to the wind passing through, the voice seems so close to me even though I can't feel any presence near me.

"You can't do that, you know" instantly the wind vanish "After all, its been so long since we've seen one another"

Hearing his words, I turn to face the person who's claiming that I've meet him before however seeing the man in front of me, sitting at the railings, doesn't ring a bell at all though he reminds me of someone.

The person in front of me has jet black hair with crimson in it's tips. He's wearing a suit and tie but I'm pretty sure his muscular to the point where most women shall do anything in their power to gain his attention and he also own a pair of grayish wings.

'Wait a minute, wings?!'

I did a double take to confirm that what I had seen is not a mere illusion which turn out to be true since his wings are openly spread out.

Fear and panic slowly crept its way in as I take a step back while his gaze only follow suite.

"I don't remember who you are" Thank the heavens that my voice did not tremble even though my whole system is.

Slowly, the angel hop off the railings "That's because its sealed" He walk towards me.

With every step he took, I take a step back and this seems to amuse him " Don't be like that Kaitlin" my back hit the wall making me unable to take a step back anymore.

His hand lean against the wall, blocking my way out. Now he is too close for comfort and seeing that I'm not meeting his eyes, he lean closer making me flinch and my breathing to hitch but he seems not to care about all that as his forehead touch mine.

"You don't have to be afraid of me, Kaitlin" his left hand takes some loose strand of my hair as he play with it "Since I already promise you, that I won't hurt you" He kiss my forehead and take a step back to give me some space.

I let go of the breath that I've been holding as I gulp some air to calm my racing heart "Then what do you want from me"

"Should I honestly answer that?" My grey orbs meet his gold orbs as I glare at him which apparently made him chuckle "Even though your glaring at me, your still beautiful"

"Cut to the chase."

"Luc" I look at him as if what he said didn't mean a thing to me "Call me Luc since its the name of someone whom you should never forget"

"What do you mean by that?" After she said those words, a portal appeared right besides Luc.

"Soon you'll know but in the mean time, I have to go since your guardians are destroying my barrier" bit by bit his body is being swallowed by the portal but before he dissapears, he look me in the eye and said "I'll see you later" and he's gone.
