Chapter 18: Book

[KAITLIN'S P.O.V.]

A lot of people gets embarrassed by so many things. May it be on some occasions, conversations and some accidental movements.

Yet, others can turn it into fame while on the other hand it would be their shame and if you ask me which one am I then it would be the latter one because right now, I'm, silently, wishing that the ground would swallow me whole to help me but, unfortunately, it didn't.

I could feel Archers shoulders shaking as he holds his laughter in, making me so confuse as to how can he laugh like this, when reality hit me.

'Of course this is funny after all he's not the one who is being carried like a piece of sack and to say that my poor innocent body shall be tainted later on who is as he kidnapped me but before that could happen, I'm caught into a very awkward situation where my butt is facing a stranger' My crazy mind thought and as if hearing it, Archer burst into laughter.

"What's going on?" Another voice appeared but I recognized this one to be Cade's.

Archer leaned half if his body on the wall for support as he catch his breath from laughing.

"Is that Kaitlin on your shoulder?" Cade ask in amusement and since Archer still isn't done with steadying his breath, he nodded in response.

"Who the heck is that bitch?" The voice who stop Archer from his plan belongs to a girl and judging from the sound of it, she seems upset about all this cause I'm pretty sure that I am especially since she called me a bitch.

I tried to wriggle my way out of archer's hold which, surprisingly, he let me down.

Our eyes meet when he was settling me down and the look on his eyes seems to soften for a bit before it reverts back into its playful glow.

"Stop clinging to him already, you bitch" The screeching sound of the girls voice made me cringe but her words only made my blood boil.

"Listen here" I turn to face her way, only to see a girl wearing a denim short shorts and a baby pink tank top that shows her cleavage.

"First of all, I'm not a bitch and if I were then you'll be on the ground begging for forgiveness" I said as I walk towards her.

"Second, I'm absolutely NOT" I point my pointer finger to Archer" clinging to that guy and lastly" My pointer finger is now pointing at her chest "don't go bitching around when you don't know anything" at that I turn my back on her and left them all behind me.

I kept walking to who knows where that I just randomly choose a door to open to find a place where I can realx and imganie my suprise when I found my favorite place, a library.

'This would help me relieve stress' I thought as I let myself be engross with the silent athmosphere of the room.

This library is just like a mini version of the school's libary. There's 2 square tables where you can read, a comfortable couch on the far end of the bookshelves and lots of shelves that are full of different books.

I scan the bookshelves for a book that i could read when something caught my eye, slowly, I trace my fingers on it's binder as the word Loving Death is written.

Curious as to what it could be, I grab the book and proceed to the back of the room where the couch is.

Once comfortable at my current state, I open the book to read the first part which consist of the words: DEATH'S BELOVED

Turning the next page, i silently read the prologue without knowing that in the near future it would have a great impact in my life.

In the beginning, God created the earth with a vast horizon where the clouds and sun creates an enchanting sunset and in the morning it brings a new life/beginning. He also created stars and the moon where it gives off a mysterious effect when night time comes.

Seeing that the Earth needed more, God created all types of land starting from the mountains down to the sand and yet he was still not satisfied with his work. That's why God created all types of water starting from the ocean down to the streams, balancing one another like yin and yang.

After his works, God saw how beautiful the earth and yet seeing it seems to be lifeless which strongly saddens our creator and so, once again, he crafted another form to give the earth life which turns out to be all types of animals.

The animals are complete from all types of mammals upto the amphibians.

Now, everything seems to be perfect with all the amazing sceneries and animals but something is still missing and God can't seem to pinpoint it out.

Then one day, God had a vision about a human, giving him an idea to create one for his paradise.

God went to paradise to start his next creation which is to be known as Man.

He created it on his own likeness, with a knowledge that could help the Man to cope with his surrounding and also the ability to survive.

But God never thought that it would be the beginning of his sadness because out of the creatures he created, the one he favors from all shall be the one to betray him the most.

The first chapter of the book intrigues me since how can a person write such stuffs about a God that does not appear to anyone at all.

Turning the next page, I was about to immerse myself on the story once again when I heard footsteps nearing my way.

"It would be so nice if I could read this story without any disturbance" I thought out loud to let my intruder know that he/she is busted.

"Sorry, princess" Cade walk right in my view as he apologize.

"What do you want?" I asked in a snappy tone.

"Hey, hey" he rise his hands in a surrender manner "Calm down, ok? I just came to inform you that the gang already arrived and also to fetch you up since all of them are asking for you" he explained.

"How did you find me?" I raised a questioning brow at him, curious as to how can he easily find her when know one is suppose to know where she is.

"With a little bit of magic" he chuckled and I just rolled my eyes at him.

"What? its true" He insisted but I just stare at him in disbelief.

"Fine! I'll tell you" Cade sigh while I await his real answer "Neil and I search for you all over the house, happy?" at that I nodded and smiled in his way

"Then shall we go, my lady?" he bowed like a gentleman as his right hand is raised, awaiting for me to take it.

Giggling, I took his hand and bowed like a perfect lady "We shall"

He smiled at me as he place my hand on his arm, leading me to where would the others be even though all I wanted is to be alone and read Loving Death.

Though I'm pretty sure that it would take some time for me to find myself being alone with a house full of my crazy friends.

And speaking of crazy friends, I remembered the girl whom i had an encounter earlier which made me frown for a second until Archer and Neil's image block her out.

Yet my feelings seems to be in turmoil by the two guys whom I seem to have made a connection with.
