"You're gonna what?!" All of them except (F/N) shouted at Nile.

Fists clenched, Sweat dribbling down their dissapointed faces. "You didn't hear me? I said I'm joining the Military Police." Nile spat out with pure venom. "But what happened to our promises of staying together?!" Mike argued.

"Mike, Can't you see the fucking life out there? It's hell. For our first expedition as Trainees, We're all already terrified as fuck. Let alone join the Survey Corps and get in a hellacious expedition mess." Nile scoffed.

Mike was lost at words until Erwin spoke up. "Nile, This is how it goes when joining the military. Expect things that should be expected." Erwin said with no emotion at all. "Nile, Please.. Stick with us. We all lost our families. We have to stay." Hanji begged, Leaving Nile fall to silence. Nile just look away and clicked his tongue.

"Nile, This isn't you at all."

(F/N) said. Everyone looked at (F/N) as she took a sigh. "You said you wanted to see what humanity would look like once we defeat those naked bastards outside walls, right? What happened to that?" She said bluntly, Nile being hesitant to speak. "It seems that you're the one to be part of the jerks screwing around in the interior. Disgraceful. Arrogant, ...Pathetic." She added, Nile's blood boiled and stood up harshly and grabbed (F/N) by the collar. "N-Nile!!" Hanji flinched and tried to separate Nile from (F/N) but Nile flicked away Hanji's hand.

"You damned rich daughter of a gold shark. You never changed, On the other hand." Nile cussed as he gave a menacing glare to (F/N)'s dull self. She just gave the usual glare at Nile, "I already know I am the one you think, You don't need to remind me. Face it, Nile. You're just too innocent to even join the military." She spatted. "Hey now, Both of you. Snap out of it. We're all starting to sound childish here." Erwin warned as he glances at the two of them.

"Shut up, Erwin. She's making herself a fool." Nile looked at Erwin and back at (F/N). "Likewise." (F/N) said. "Both of you, Seriously. Snap out of it. We need enough energy for the ceremony tomorrow." Hanji sighed. Nile carelessly let go of (F/N)'s collar.

"We're not done yet." With that, Nile left the room and gets to his dorm. Erwin and Mike shrugged and followed him out.

As Hanji watch them leave, She turned to look at (F/N) who was resting her chin on her knuckles and eyes closed. "(F/N), Let's go to sleep. We have a big day tomorrow." Hanji stood up and (F/N) looked at her with one eye open. She clicked her tongue and stood up and went to their dorms

Today's the day of the Graduation of the 88th Trainee Corp. Cadets went to prepare for the biggest obstacle of their life; Choosing a regiment.

Choosing what their lives will go down to. Choosing which fate will enter their door.

The cadets gather at the training grounds and a platform was set up there. It was past seven 'o clock so torches were lit up nicely.

"All cadets fall in!!" The commander shouted and the rest of them yelled after, "Sir, yes sir!". "Let the Graduation ceremony of the 88th Trainee Corp commence! We start off with an introduction of the three life-lined regiments!" And so, the commander began to explain. After minutes of explaini, they first moved on the the Military Police.

A commander with a red bolo tie lines up on the stage and started making his speech. (F/N) looked at Nile nd she looked into his eyes. They were full of determination, And she knew they can't bring him back. She sighed and listened to the speeches before it ended.

Next up was the Garrison commander and gave a similar speech to the Military Police, But serves the town instead of the king instead. Until... The Scout Regiment Commander came.

The Commander with a teal bolo tie saluted and started speaking. "I, Keith Shadis, 12th Commander of the Survey Corps, Plead to give your hearts for humanity. For it will benefit the lives of ours and our citizens. For those who wish to join other regiments, Do leave your posts." Commander Keith stated, And...

Everyone left.

All the ones left who were standing were (F/N), Mike, Erwin, And Hanji. Nile passed by (F/N) and they both returned their last hurtful glares as betrayal. "You all are brave soldiers. You have my respect." Keith said with a fierce glare and a straight face. "As of today, We give it our all to serve freedom all the way. Dedicate your hearts!" He yelled and gave a whole-hearted salute. "Yes, sir!" The four of the trainees replied in unison.

I can't believe we're the only ones to join...

(F/N) thought.

"You will bring your valuables wih you as you ride to the Survey Corps Headquarters by horse and foot." With that, Keith left the stage.

They all removed their fists from their chests and looked at each other. "This is it. We're finally going to be part of the Survey Corps." Hanji smiled. (F/N) looked through the distance.

Nile, I don't know what has got into your head but... Please be safe out there.

She sighed and went to join in with the others for their daily conversations about how excited they are.
