"Sir! An abandoned castle has been discovered, just a few miles ahead!!" A female cadet called out to the commander. "Deploy troop 3 from the right flank! And let them dwell into it. We have to obtain information." Keith stated. The cadet nods and went off to get the 3rd troop of the right flank.

"Troop 3 of the right flank?" The cadet called out. "Miss! We're here!" Hanji waved one hand in the air as the horses, still clopping on the road. "You all are being sent to check on an abandoned castle, just a few miles on the east." The female cadet stated. The four look out into the distance to find the said abandoned castle. "Whatever the commander's orders." (F/N) shrugged her shoulders and then made her horse speed off to the east. "W-wait!! (F/N)?!" Hanji yelled as they catch up to her. Hanji then groaned in annoyance. "Let's follow her, guys." Mike said. All of them nod and followed (F/N).

After a few minutes, They all have reached the abandoned castle. "What castle is this..?" Hanji asked as she looked around. "Probably castle Utgard, for sure." (F/N) sighed. "Not in ruins at all.." Mike sniffed the air. "Let's split up as we go by commander's orders. Obtain as many information we can grab. I'll shoot a flare once we meet back here." Erwin explained. Everyone nodded and spreaded out to all directions. (F/N) went inside the castle and found nothing but just dust and cobwebs.

"Nothing but garbage in here." She huffed as she got off her horse. Footsteps ringing inside the castle until a crunch came from the floor. She looked down and found a crumpled piece of paper. She bent down to pick it up and smoothened it out to read. She widened her eyes and dropped the paper.

No... No, no, no!! Why the fuck is that here?!

She gritted her teeth as she crumples it as it remains in her strong fist. Until the ground began to shake.

(F/N) looked down on the cobblestone floor, seeing it opening up cracks like an earthquake is causing it. Her eyes widen more until she yanked the reins of her horse and ran as fast as possible away from the danger. The ground crumbled and made a hole, some parts of the castle begin to crumble because of it. (F/N) grunted as she rolls away from falling debris.

She coughed until dust vanishes. "Fuck, Where did my horse go..!?" She panicked. "(F/N)!" Someone yelled out. (F/N) squints her eyes towards a figure coming towards her. "...Erwin?" (F/N) said, stunned as the man comes into sight. "Anything happened?" Asked Erwin, concerned. "No. The floor just decided to give itself up. Don't know where my horse went, though." (F/N) clicked her tongue. Erwin nods as he understood. "Alright.. I'll leave you here as I go back to my spot." Erwin stated and she nodded as she stood up for agreement. With that, he left. Leaving (F/N) to dust off some particles off of her. She looked at her fist and cringes her eyes as she thinks of it. "Why are those papers here..?!" She said as she smoothens the paper from being crumpled. She read each names that were written on the paper.

Tears slowly swell up in her eyes but wipes it off as it is just something in her eye. She kept it in her breast pocket for further examination.

Father... Mother...why?

She took a sigh and walks around. She forgot about her horse since she really won't find it anytime soon. Gladly, she came across Hanji, Scanning some papers and books. "Ah, Hanji." She greeted and Hanji turns around to meet the girl. "Oh, (F/N)!!" She exclaimed. "Got stuff??" She asked, excited. (F/N) shook her head, "No, Got none." She said. Hanji just frowns and giggles afterwards. "Eh, We have lots of time to search for!" Hanji threw her fist in the air.

The ground suddenly shook once more, A crack drawing from they vision. The crack, running towards them. "Shit, Hanji!-" (F/N) yelled. Unfortunately...

They both fell into the dark crevice.

"Hanji!" (F/N) has attempted a few times to wake up Hanji, But it's no use. A rock hit her forehead, Blood covering nearly half of her face. "Shit..!" (F/N) muttered under her breath as she thought of nothing else to do: carry her up back to the surface.

But the problem? Hanji's pair of her gear is busted along with hers except for one left. What's she gonna do?

She shot a grapple to the surface and secured it. She carried Hanji bridal-style and gripped on the grappled cable. She started to climb the rocks with the cable while she carried Hanji in her arms. "Damn! Where the fuck are the others?!" She cursed as she gasps for air while climbing, slowly. Until her eyes lit up and quickly reached for her satchel. She took out a flare gun and an air bullet. She inserted the bullet into the flare gun and shot it to the sky, But nothing happened.

"Fuck... Not now, you damned gun!!!" She cussed as she repeatedly presses the trigger but still, no smoke came out. "Ugh, useless!" She threw the flare gun down to the ground and continued climbing, Gladly Hanji woke up from that. "(F/N)?!?!" Hanji yelled, (F/N) flinched at the sudden noise. "Hanji, Sit the fuck still, You're literally in mid-air." She warned. Hanji then sat still. "W..What happened?" She asked, worried. "We fell into a hole, I tried waking you up for more than sixteen times but your ass decided to sleep for more than an hour." She replied and huffed as she tries to take another step on the debris.

"We've been here for an hour already?!" Hanji said, shocked. "Yes, And those two bastards haven't even showed up." (F/N) cursed under her breath. Hanji nodded slowly as she looks up. "Man, We're a long way up." She commented. "Indeed." (F/N) said as she takes another step. Sweat dribbling down her forehead. "We will.. make it!" (F/N) mourned. "(F/N), Don't push yourself too much..!" Hanji saddened. "I don't care." (F/N) grunted until she violently coughs and just continues climbing.

Minutes by minutes, Night began to fall. The sun slowly setting, Them; still in the small void, halfway there.

"(F/N), seriously!" Hanji yelled. "I'm trying to save your life over here!" (F/N) yelled back. "No, seriously—!" Both of them stopped yelling as they heard shuffling of men just above the surface. (F/N) and Hanji looked at each other and look up, to yell for help. "S-Sir! Down here!" Hanji yelled from below. Gladly, A cadet came to peek down the hole. His eyes widen and look back. "Sir, We found them!" The young cadet said. Until three cadets and a leader looks down. "Get the rope!" The leader commanded. The four nod and let down a rope.
