Forbidden Water

Chapter 4

Someone is entering Leo's life....

The twittering of birds woke me up in the dawn. I willingly didn't join  dad today ; for that he verbally abused me but it's okay. I'm strong person !! my eighteen years old  life has made me patient and silent.

I am a bit nervous today; I'm going to join in new job; I don't know how they will treat  me.I'm confident to keep the job. Anyway,I have to bathe in the Mediterranean at first; I can't think of going anywhere special without touching its' water; the cerulean blue water of the Mediterranean is auspicious to us. 

I started swimming in the unfathomable ocean; the water is cool, cozy enough to calm my senses. Astonishingly something touched my hand; looking down I saw a white shelled  mollusk; these may contain pearls; people call them 'pearl oysters'. So,I quickly caged it in my fingers. The idea of having sudden pearl made me mirthful. I cut it into two pieces ,cleansed the flesh and lo !! I got a pearl. My heart  bathed in pure ecstasy.

I observed it very well.The pearl is round,white with slight tinge of orange; obtaining Orange pearl means 'You will find soul mate soon'; these are ocean folks as it says, Gold fish stands for happiness, star fish stands for prosperity, black pearl  gives sign of pirate attack and silver fish eliminates food crisis. I don't want to think much about other things,'my soul mate is coming to me',I said to myself and went home.

So,having reached home,I prepared myself.I wore my best shirt among my only three shirts. Mom touched a sea coral on my forehead wishing good luck; soon I left home.

The tavern is quite large.Foods and drinks are being served to the tourists; my eyes got wide open seeing the the hippies ,gypsies,tourists and their queer colorful dresses. But everyone was friendly. Johnny uncle introduced me to everybody.  The bohemian mood of the tavern adopted me so quickly ; but seemingly they have sold themselves to the addiction...

My first day went smoothly.The sun started walking towards the west when the inn closed. When I was walking towards home,I saw a teen age girl selling ocean gemstones like pearls,corals,aquamarines. I was crossing her nonchalantly, but she ogled at me !!!! with those dark blue eyes and long eyelashes she ogled at me....but I can't say if it was ogle or frown ; may be she was seeking my attention but I choose to ignore her. The actuality is, I don't have much confidence to confront such beautiful girl.

She must be some frivolous whore. Her little exposing dress  indicates that...........but I loved her tribal hair band and jeweleries. When,I got passed her,I scolded myself for ignoring her so badly. 

'Oh Lisa, you are here,where have you been?', I heard a boy shouting....on looking back I saw that boy embraced the very girl into a kiss.....she is his 'Lisa' !!!!

I rightly ignored her, I should not regret for that....she has lover still she was ogling at me !!!!
