Chapter 3- Trade

Asad beant down and looked at the ashy wood. It was completely burnt all the way to the ground. He put his hands on his head and then looked up. He stood and looked around at the remains of the house. Asad hadn't left much, since this wasn't exactly his house. It was a rental home and now, it was only ashes. Asad looked around to see what started the fire. It took him a second to realize it was the people that he chased away. They set the house on fire as soon as they saw no one inside, just for fun. Anger ran through Asad's system. This was his home. He lived here for two years paying rent and working in town and now, where did he have to go?

"This is because of them," Asad muttered turning towards the road leading to the town. Those people had come after Septer, Alessia and Derick, and not Asad. They did this for no reason. He thought to blame maybe Septer and them. They were running away from them, but why? There was hardly any reasons they had given Asad why they wanted to stay at his cabin. He knew then it was the people that burned down the house that was the enemy. He had no where to go, so he had only one choice; to live with his parents, and more so his brother.

Asad drove in his car down to the town. His car was parked a little ways off from the cabin and since Asad had packed everything in that bag, he didn't loose much at all. Down the winddy road and across a few bridges, Asad passed trees thick in the forest. Coming close to the edge of town the sun was setting behind the mountains. After passing houses and trees for about another mile, he pulled up into the driveway of his parent's house. It was late now, but the lights clicked on in the house. His mother came out surprised.

"Hey Asad! What's wrong?" His mother asked seeing the guilt and saddness on his face.

"I, uh...the cabin burnt down," Asad said frowning as he took out his bag and things.

"What!? Where you hurt? Oh, dear you look tired," His mother said taking his things.

"I wasn't at the cabin then. I just, I was with some friends when it happened," Asad said as they walked into the house. The lights clicked on and Sam sat there eating. He looked up surprised as Asad came in.

"Why are you here?" Sam asked with his mouth full.

"My cabin burnt down. I'll be out soon, don't worry," Asad said rolling his eyes and taking his things upstairs.

"How'd it burn?" Sam yelled as he followed him upstairs. Asad came into the spare room and set his bag down. He grabbed some clothes and headed for the bathroom.

"I met these people named uh, Derick and, what's there names Alessia? Yeah," Asad said standing at the bathroom doorframe.

"WHAT!? Alessia!" Sam said almost spitting out his food.

"Say it don't spray it dude," Asad said closing the door.

"No! Wait you didn't answer-" Sam said as Asad closed the door in his face. "I know Alessia! Wait- she's the one with the blue eyes and long dark wavy hair right?" Sam asked putting his ear against the door.

"Yeah that's her. Oh! And Septer. That's her name," Asad said turning on the shower.

"Why were they all the way up at your cabin?" Sam asked sitting down by the door.

"I don't know!" Asad said over the shower.

"Gosh, you don't think they burned it down do ya? I mean I could never see Alessia do such a thing, or Septer either," Sam said motioning with his hands. "But Derick, tough guy. There's something about him that is, well a little dark. Alessia likes him though. She told me, or, I told her, more like," Sam said as the door opened.

"You talk too much," Asad said coming out smelling clean. He had a t-shirt and pants on and a towel around his neck. Sam stood up at the sight of him.

"But how'd it burn?" Sam asked raising his eyebrows.

"I, I don't know," Asad lied. He went on to his room.

"Wait, what? You don't know? Do you mean you think Derick could have-" Sam began.

"No I don't," Asad interupted. "I don't want to talk about it. I came back and it was burnt to the ground. End of story," Asad said drying his red hair in the towel.

"You were with Alessia and Septer and Derick?!" Sam burst after a pause.

"Yeah, they were lost so I took them home," Asad shrugged. Sam gasped.

"You know where they live!?" Sam burst smiling. Asad looked a little freaked out.

"I do, but I'm not going to tell you cause you might creep on them," Asad said narrowing his eyes.

"No! Just tell me! I'll do anything!" Sam begged as Asad rubbed his temples.

"I want to sleep," Asad said closing the door. "I'll think about it," Asad said as the door closed shut. He could hear Sam going on about Alessia. Boy, Sam must really like Alessia or something. Asad thought. What could I get Sam to do for me that I could give him the directions in return? Asad pondered. He grabbed a catlog off the shelf and flipped through it. It was a catalog from an instrument store at the mall. Asad flipped through the pages and spotted an atusic guitar. He had played guitar his whole life and loved to play, but had to get rid of his old one because he had to pay for rent. He smiled and put the catalog by his side and went to sleep.

Asad woke up and stretched he rolled over. He had the best dream. I dreamed about Septer and Alessia and, wait what? Asad thought. He remembered he had a dream that he saw them and they were all swimming at his house. He shook the thought and got ready. He didn't think he would really ever see them again.

"So...?" Sam asked pouring the milk into his cerel. He was smiling widely and sat down next to Asad who took a bite of his breakfast. Asad groaned. "When can I see the address?" Sam asked scooting closer to Asad.

"Actually, I have a propose," Asad said. Sam raised his eyebrows.

"Really? Tell me what I have to do and you give me address!" Sam said smiling.

"You must really like this girl," Asad said nudging his side. Sam narrowed his eyes and waited for him to answer. "In order for you to get the address, you have to buy me a new guitar," Asad said smiling.

"A new guitar?" Sam asked frowning. "But those are like, like expenisive!" Sam exclaimed.

"Is that going to be a problem?" Asad said narrowing his eyes.

"No, I just, got to find the money," Sam said taking his bowl to the kichen and heading upstairs. Then thier mother came into the kichen.

"So, are you going to look for a rental house today?" His mother asked Asad.

"Mom, I thought you liked me here!" Asad teased hugging her.

"I enjoy you, I just want you to get back on your feet again. That's all," His mother said as he pulled away from her.

"Yeah I am going to look for houses for rent," He said smiling. She nodded and left kissing him on his forehead.

"This is going to a long day," Asad said aloud. He groaned at the thought of house shopping, again, when he had just moved into the cabin.
