Chapter 11-

Asad went around to the back where the food and drinks were being served keeping a close eye on Septer. She was set up as the decoy and when she might be taken, Asad and Derick would attack. The party went on for a while longer and then it began to get crazy. By now some people seemed to be totally crazy dancing to the music to where the food and drinks table was too bad to stand by. Asad moved and went over to the grass. He turned to see Septer still there. Derick was across the way with Alessia dancing. He was keeping a close eye on Septer too, or at least that was the plan.

Somehow two am came around and most people passed out by this time. Asad was half awake still watching Septer. He couldn't help but drift off being that he rarely ever stayed up late at all. Soon enough the party was over and Asad stumbled back up to his room. Septer was safe and sound and Kenna didn't seem to round up the 'Self Powers' at all. Asad could hardly think straight because he was so tired and fell to sleep instantly.

"BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!" An alarm rang in Asad's ear. Asad rolled off the bed with a thud trying to block the noise. After a few minutes of it repeating itself, Asad got up and turned it off. He noticed Lot wasn't in the room at all. Asad rubbed his face and got ready. It was nearly seven in the morning and Asad could hardly remember what happened the night before, but after getting ready and dressed it came to him. Why didn't Kenna strike then? Asad wondered. She was tricky. Very tricky. Asad headed downstairs to go to breakfast. It seemed unusually quiet. He seemed like the only one up. After contemplating about whether he should eat or go check on Septer, he decided to go and check on her. He knocked on the dorm room of Alessia and Septer's room. He waited a minute until Alessia came to the door.

"What's up?" Alessia asked. She was dressed but her wavy dark hair seemed to be all in knots.

"I just wanted to see if Septer was okay," Asad said. Alessia frowned.

"She isn't here," Alessia said turning behind her. "I thought she was with you guys," Alessia said her face full of worry.

"In the guys dorm room? No, she isn't," Asad said shaking his head.

"In Derick's room?" Alessia asked. She seemed to just be searching for an answer to try and find it. The thought of Septer being in Derick's room made Asad think they were tearing the place up fighting.

"I hope she's safe," Asad said in concern. Alessia nodded and ran to the dorm room where Derick was. It wasn't like Septer not to come back home to her room. Alessia pounded on the door as Derick came to it. He looked beat tired.

"Is Septer there?" Alessia asked biting her fingernails. Derick looked shocked.

"Um, no. That would be wrong," Derick said frowning.

"No! I mean do you know where she could be?" Alessia pleaded.

"No," Derick said seeing the worry on their faces.

"Oh no!" Alessia said hitting her hand against the door frame. "You don't think Kenna-" Alessia asked looking up at Asad.

"I don't know," Asad said frowning. That did it. Alessia began crying into Derick's shoulders. Asad stood there awkwardly, but it wasn't going to help crying. Asad slowly backed away and went towards the gym. Maybe, there's an assembly or something. Asad thought trying to find an answer to where Septer might be. Asad busted open the gym door surprised. Low and behold it was an assembly.

"Welcome!" Kenna said motioning Asad over. Asad slowly walked over as eyes stared at him. And then he spotted Septer! "There was an assembly this morning and I wanted you to help me last night to get them together so I could tell them about the one this morning," Kenna explained. "I was just talking about the classes and 'Self' Improvement that can be done," Kenna said as the crowd laughed. Asad looked and eyed Septer. 'I don't know' Septer mouthed. It turned out to be an assembly after all.

After classes and such had passed the day was ending and the sky was progressively getting darker. The assembly today was the strangest things that had happened that day. Asad still had no idea what was going on with that. As much as he wanted to think and figure the whole assembly idea out, his mind kept wandering. Leona was on his mind a lot. His thoughts came back to reality when his roommate walked in the room.

"Why are you here alone on a night like this?" Lot asked laughing as he grabbed his bag. Asad rolled his eyes and looked down at his hands. "Well then stay here," Lot said snapping his fingers and disappearing. Asad looked around to make sure no one was there. Then a noise made Asad turn to the window. The window was making a whistling noise as it blew hard. Asad walked over to the window and looked out. He saw Lot walking out towards a group of people laughing.

"Ugh," Asad groaned as he closed the curtains. Even after closing the curtains he could still hear the wind whistling through the cracks.

The clock was turning to eleven as Asad still stood awake. He was looking at a photograph of him and Rachel. He really didn't miss his family that much, but at the same time he did. Tossing the picture on the desk he rubbed his hands over his face and turned out the light to go to bed. The wind had picked up and the tapping sound of rain began beating the window. The rain hit off and on all night, but the wind still kept it's consistent whistling sound.

A sudden sound of a kitten meowing woke up Asad. The rain had stopped and so had the creepy wind sound. It was totally silent. Asad looked at the clock as it read three a.m. He was suddenly wide awake. Lot was still absent as he looked across the room at his bed. He went over to the window and opened the curtains. There were puddles from the rain and some trash that had been scattered from the storm. Thunder was roaring off in the distance. Asad turned thinking the sound he heard was from the thunder, but before he reached his bed he heard the cat meow again. That made him flinch. He walked back over to the window to see a small little kitten lying there out in the mud. Feeling selfless, he grabbed his shoes and went outside to help it. The temperature had dropped to the point that it was cold outside. Everything seemed went and dripping with water. No one seemed to be awake. It was silent. Asad walked down the stairs to ground level and went around the building. He tried to avoid the mud and puddles that seemed to be surrounding him everywhere. When he turned to the backside of the building he saw the kitten lying there soaked and shaking. He squatted down and gently picked it up. It was totally soaked and muddy. He groaned but yet took off his shirt and dried off the cat as he stood up and wrapped the kitten in his shirt. As he turned to walk back he saw something move. He stopped in his tracks.

"Who's there?" He said looking around. After feeling chills go up his spine he walked onto his dorm room. Suddenly he heard someones voice and stopped.

"Why are you half dressed?" A girl's voice asked. He spun around to see Leona standing there outside of her room. He smiled once he saw her.

"I heard this cat crying so I wrapped her in my shirt," Asad said embarrassed. Then he looked at her. "Why are you outside?" He asked.

"Same reason," She shrugged as she spun around to go back to her room. Asad began walking back to his room as she left. Once he got there he washed the kitten off and made a bed for it. Once he had sat down in his bed, his body realized it was late and fell asleep fast.
