Chapter 2- Home
The sound of their breaths breathed and echoed the cave. Everyone tried to stay silent best as they could. Then footsteps approached the cave as everyone held their breath. Then the footsteps stopped and the sound of the person breathing was the only noise that was heard. The person turned and walked away.
"No one. They left," The person's voice said as they walked away. Everyone looked relieved and waited until they heard no one. It was silent and then Septer sighed.
"That was too close," Alessia said lying down against Derick.
"What now?" Septer asked as her voice seemed to echo throughout the cave. She had septered out of shock and was invisible. It was quiet for a long time as everyone just sat in silence.
"Let's go back home," Derick said standing to his feet lifting up Alessia.
"But what about you Asad?" Septer asked as she stood.
"What about me?" Asad asked Septer as she looked at him sadly.
"Are you going to come with us?" Septer questioned then looked at his ears. "And are you going to change back?" Septer asked shrugging her eyebrows.
"Yes," Asad said going into the black cave dragging the sack of things he brought.
"Where are you going?" Septer asked.
"I don't change, uh, clothed. Don't look okay?" Asad said firmly. Septer turned around and looked at Derick and Alessia.
"Where is home?" Alessia asked looking outside the cave.
"I'm really not sure," Derick muttered scratching his head. Then a figure came out of the darkness and scared Septer as she stood up.
"Asad?" Septer asked looking as Asad approached her. Asad had dark red hair and pale skin. He was older than most of them, around seventeen or so. He was tall and looked strong. His eyes looked green almost like cat eyes, but it made sense since he was a cougar too.
"Yep," Asad said nodding.
"I thought you said you didn't change, uh, clothed..." Septer muttered.
"I had clothes in this bag," Asad said throwing it over his shoulder. Septer nodded looking at Alessia then back at Asad.
"We don't exactly know where we are," Seper shrugged. "Do you think you could take us home?" Septer asked shrugging her shoulders.
"Sure, I guess," Asad replied. Septer smiled and turned to Derick and Alessia.
"He can take us home," Septer said as Alessia looked into Asad's eyes. Her eyes changed from grey to blue staring at his eyes. Asad backed up a little, being creeped out and all. Asad looked away as her eyes changed back to blue.
"He seems honest," Alessia shrugged. Derick narrowed his eyes and stepped towards him.
"Take us home. That's it," Derick said practically spitting in his face. Then Derick turned to Alessia. "Come on tiger, let's go," Derick said taking her hand in his.
"Eww! Please!" Septer said walking behind them. Asad ran up next to Septer as he lead the way. Septer turned to Asad. "So, where exactly is the nearest town?" Septer asked.
"Up the creek a little ways," Asad said pointing.
"How far is a little ways?" Septer asked as they trotted down the hill.
"Uh, two miles," Asad said shrugging his shoulders.
"Two miles!" Septer exclaimed. "That's a little ways!?" Septer said throwing her hands up in the air. Asad laughed at her expression.
"If it's so far, then you can ride on my back again," Asad laughed. Septer frowned and then her eyes began to water.
"No," Septer said as her voice cracked. Asad stopped laughing noticing her sudden change. The conversation ended at that. What did I say? Asad thought to himself seeing Septer look down as she walked.

After what seemed to be miles of land they covered, they reached the overlook of the town. It was about another mile to their neighborhood. They stood on the edge of the forest and looked at the near passing cars that drove by.
"Come on!" Alessia exclaimed taking Derick's hand as they ran towards the town. It was a long stretch of grassy field and then, town. Septer groaned and walked behind them.
"Oh, come on Septer," Asad said running ahead of her. Septer narrowed her eyes, but ran anyways.
By the time the four of them actually reached the town's suburbs they looked totally whipped out . Mud caked their shoes along with grass and sticks. They stood out of breath by the time they reached thier neighborhood.
"HOME!" Alessia yelled running up to her house. Asad saw Derick run in the same direction as Septer, who's houses were only two doors down from each others. "I missed you so much!" Alessia said hugging her sister along with her brother. Asad sighed and walked backwards.
"Wait!" A voice yelled behind him. He turned around and saw Septer running up to him. She sighed out of breath and then paused looking at him.
"Thank you for taking me home," Septer said smiling.
"Anytime," Asad said smiling back at her. He waved as he bagan walking back.
"And uh," Septer began. He turned around and looked at her. "...you're really soft," Septer said quietly. Asad smirked and went on his way. Asad was happy to see them home, but he wasn't really all that happy himself. They all seemed so much like him, and he wanted to know more about them. Of course he had to go back home, so he began on walking back.

By the time Asad approached his cabin he was in shock. He stood there looking at his cabin, just staring. The cabin had burned down!
