Chapter 17-

Asad shook his head. This wasn't the end, it couldn't be. He was cougar to fall in love with the cheetah. Then the cheetah's head snapped as she slowly stood to her feet. She growled as she showed her teeth. Leona turned to her and frowned.

"Look at you!" She yelled.

"Leona what are y-" Asad began.

"You had to take this part away didn't you!" Leona yelled at the cheetah. Fiona began to back up, ready to strike. Leona stood there as if she was unafraid of the grueling mouth before her, even though it used to be her.

Before the cheetah could attack Leona, Asad hit it's paw down. Even though he had a wounded paw, he was willing to do whatever it took for Leona. Asad growled as the cheetah stared confused. Asad stared at her eyes which seemed to have no color. She seemed to be a monster in no comparison to a cheetah at all. She was the creature Kenna had created. Suddenly Fiona spun around to attack Asad. Her claws dug into his skin as he moaned in pain.

"Stop!" Leona yelled now defending herself behind the bed. The cheetah released her claws and began moving towards Leona. "Asad," Leona swayed. Asad stood up looking at the wound on his shoulder.

"Do I attack her?" Asad said to Leona. The cheetah began moving faster towards Leona as she panicked.

"Do something!" She yelled.

"What if she is you though?" Asad asked now fearing Leona's protection.

"Asad!" She yelled as the cat was near distance of hurting her.

"Okay!" Asad yelled jumping and diving onto Fiona. The two slayed claws as they fought on. Asad had the upper hand as he swung onto her back. She hissed as he hit her and knocked him in the face. He came back and bit her in the tail as he ran around trying to attack her more.

Minutes of fighting went down as they rolled and swung and hit each other like wrestling components. Asad took his teeth and dug them into her neck. She meowed one last time before giving up. Asad pulled away to find unconscious. Her eyes rolled back into a steady white as Asad was stood shocked.

"Leona, I..." Asad said after moments of confusion. Leona walked over and sat on the floor beside him.

"It's alright Asad," She said looking down at her hands.

"I never meant to hurt her this bad, I, I never meant to hurt you," Asad shook his head as he spoke.

"Look at me," Leona said as he looked up at her. "Try one more time," She spoke softly. Asad brought his cat face to her human one as they kissed. Suddenly Leona grew ears and a large body. Her face became many spots and out grew a tail. They pulled away confused, but both excited.

"Leona," Asad said in awe. They purred as Leona rubbed her cheetah face against his shoulder.

"It's good to be back," She said smiling.

*********

Walking back to Asad's truck, the two cats were closely knitted to each other's sides. Of course it would be a hard thing for cats to be driving though, so at least one of them would have to change back to human form.

"Leona," Asad said stopping when they had reached the car. "I have an extra change of clothes in the back of my car if you want to change back, so you know, uh," Asad muttered.

"So I won't scare people you mean?" She asked smiling. Asad nodded.

"I'll go around the other side," Asad said walking around the car. It was slightly hard to open the car door, but Asad finally managed. After grabbing the spare clothes, he bit his lip and changed form.

After the two had changed form they were off driving back to the Hiliton in hopes of catching Kenna once and for all. It had been silent most of the drive for the most part. Asad could feel Leona defiantly wanted answers, but so did he. How did Kenna take away half of her in the first place anyways? The lights of the city were now buzzing and traffic was packed to the max. The car stopped and went for a while until Asad began to get annoyed.

"Traffic!" Asad muttered. Leona seemed to know he was upset.

"Maybe you could take a short cut I know. Just take this left," Leona said pointing in the direction. She seemed sad still and Asad wondered why.

"You okay?" He asked her. She nodded immediately and looked down at her hands. The traffic was a little lighter on the road as they went on.

"Take a right," She said pointing. "And down this road," She continued. It seemed to be getting desolate now with hardly any cars around.

"Are you sure it's this way? Because the school is facing south," Asad pointed out.

"Yeah, it's this way," Leona muttered. The car drove down now a windy road which seemed to be going into the middle of a desolate place. Suddenly a truck pulled out in front of the road and stopped. Asad braked hard as the car came to a stop. Asad looked at Leona who was looking out the window. Asad put the car in reverse as the truck pulled out even more to where moving the car was no use.

"What's this guy's problem?" Asad said unlocking the door to get out.

"Stop!" Leona yelled. Asad turned in shock and stopped. They looked at each other in silence for an amount of minutes.

"What is it?" Asad asked as his eyebrows shrugged.

"I can't let you go out there," She whispered. Asad was confused but didn't move. They both didn't move. Only when the sound of his door opening did Asad look to see Kenna standing there. She was smirking, of course. But not only was the fact that Kenna was there, but it was the person standing behind her that scared Asad.

Suur.

Asad turned to see Leona who was not shocked at all. He was confused and hoped she was neieve to the whole situation.

"Leona?" Asad asked confused. She frowned and shook her head. "You knew?" He asked.

"Why yes she did. She helped us," Kenna said happily.

"You helped them?" Asad asked. His tone was reaching decimals now.

"I didn't men to Asad, they made me help them!" Leona explained. "I had no choice," She said quietly.

"No choice to what exactly Leona?" Asad asked shaking his head.

"I didn't know alright," Leona said now on the verge of tears.

"Leona what threat?" Asad asked now stepping closer to her. She breathed fast as if what she would say would kill her.

"Tell her Leona," Kenna said egging her on.

"T-they told me if I led you on that they wouldn't hurt Suur," Leona muttered.

"What?" Asad asked holding Leona's hands. "Suur?" He asked.

"I loved him Asad, and I- didn't want to see him-" Leona was cut off by Asad's lips. Suddenly the two of them transformed into cats.

"Run!" Asad yelled trying to run away from Kenna.

"You don't understand," Leona cried. Asad turned to her as Suur tackled him down. Asad was confused now. "I'm on there side Asad," She said backing away.
