Chapter 12-

The sound of rain tapped on the roof of the dorm. Asad rolled over and slightly opened his eyes. The memories of last night were still lingering around in his mind, but it felt as if he had been sleeping for eternity. He turned to see a kitten wrapped in a shirt and towels by his bed purring as it slept. He sighed realizing he had gone out into the night to rescue it. Then the memory of Leona came into his mind. He felt guilty for letting her see him without his shirt on.

Sitting up he saw that Lot had yet to return to the dorm. Must be passed out somewhere. Asad thought to himself. He walked over to the window to see the rain still gently sprinkling down. The ground was almost all wet from the puddles and pallets of rain that met from ever few feet.

"Kenna is up to something," Septer spat at the lunch table. The rain had died down, but there were still puddles all over the ground. Alessia rolled her eyes at Septer's approach as Derick seemed curious.

"How could she be up to something though? We've always known her as the suspect, but what if-" Alessia spoke.

"She is the suspect!" Septer burst. All eyes went to her as she shook her head at all the attention she was getting. Then she continued quieter. "I mean that she is a suspect," Septer whispered.

"But there could be someone over her, I mean what if there is or something?" Alessia asked. Asad looked past the two girls arguing in front of him and turned his head towards the back of the gym. Leona was talking to her friends and laughing. Asad smiled at just the thought of her. She wanted to help that kitten last night just like him. Her hair was so red and beautiful. She was beautiful. Even the way she-

"Asad," Derick said. Asad blinked and turned to see Derick staring at him as Septer and Alessia continued talking. "You alright man?" He asked.

"Ye-ah I'm great. Yes," Asad said shaking his head.

"Alright well, I'm going to go class," Derick said standing up. Alessia turned her head.

"But class doesn't start for like twenty minutes," Alessia complained to him. Derick hesitated then spoke.

"Yeah, well I have to go early," He said smiling. But Asad knew Derick and he was faking the smile. He walked away fast as though he was going to be late to class. Alessia looked confused, but believed him and turned to Septer. Something is going on with him. Asad thought. I wonder what he is up to.

The end of the day could not have come faster. Asad had found himself walking up the stairs to the dorm. He came to the top of the staircase and heard something. He stopped and heard yelling. Curious, he followed the noise. It was a girl and boy yelling. He recognized the guy's voice thinking it sounded familiar. He walked to his dorm room and heard the yelling come from that. He quickly unlocked it and swung the door open. He froze looking at the scene. Lot had grabbed the girls wrist and they seemed to be fighting. They both froze and stared at Asad as if they were in trouble.

"What is going on here?!" Asad demanded. Lot let go of the girl's hand as she jerked away from him. Anger was suddenly promote on her face.

"Lot is the person who you should be asking," She said running her hands through her hair. She suddenly walked past the two of them and out the door leaving Lot frozen.

"What was that?!" Asad yelled pointing at the door. Lot shook his head and walked over to his bed. He said nothing for a moment and then looked up at Asad again.

"My, uh girlfriend was disagreeing with the way I am. She, she's trying to change me I guess," Lot muttered.

"Then why were you grabbing her arm?" Asad asked quieter. Lot sighed and laid back on his bed.
