Chapter 13-
Asad paused. He just ran away, or am I just imagining it? Asad thought. He took a few steps closer. He walked on and followed what seemed like an empty road. His instics told him Leona was back in her dorm asleep, but the drive to keep going pushed him on.
The hour of the day became so late that he felt like he was in a dream. His conscious was drifting and he could swear he heard voices. He wasn't crazy, or at least he didn't think he was crazy. Then he snapped back into reality. He did hear voices. They were coming from inside the office of the school. He focused his eyes toward the building still trying to remain sain. He didn't know he had such a drive and he thought he could never have this much thrust to keep going.
Then the voices stopped. Asad reached the door to the office and tried to open it, but it was locked shut. He looked around the back entrance and found it open. The office had never seemed empty before. It was like a dark empty alley way that was just waiting for you to come in. The floor seemed to creak at his every move. Then he saw light coming from the hall. Shadows were vague but he could make out that there were people here.
His mind was thinking off into the forest by now. He remembered when he first met Septer and Alessia and Derick. They were all just like him; different. They all were close to him because he had always felt alone. But yet now he was alone. Alone in this dark office. No backups. Where were his friends now?
As Asad traveled down the hall it got darker. The main part of the office had windows where the moonlight could stream in, but now it was really dark. Now he could hardly see anything. His eyes tried to adjust to see in the dark more, but he kept stumbling.
Suddenly he heard a yell. It was a girl alright, but his senses were to hazy to know who it was. Never the less he began running. Turning corners and opening doors to try and find the noise he finally came across a locked door. The voices were loud now coming from the other side of the door. He put his head up against the door to try and make out what they were saying.
"You can't you can't!" The girl yelped. It was if she was in dire need because she sounded very urgent.
"Stop your whining," Someone else darted back. Then he heard what sounded like air flowing through a tube and some kind of bubbling noise. "Ahh forgot the scissors!" The person complained. He heard footsteps coming towards the door and quickly moved away. Turning to see where to hide, he found some plants and dove behind them. The door shot open and the person walked down the hall. Unfortunately the leaves of the plant were in his way to even glance at the person.
When they had left Asad quickly ran into the room where the girl had been yelling. He closed the door and turned to see Leona. She was sitting in a chair with some kind of tube in her arm. It seemed like some kind of horrible lab. Asad's vision was dazed as he tried and kneel down to her height. That was when he realized she was unconscious.
Asad's heart roared fast as his thoughts came back into place. Is she dead? She can't be! She can't just be dead! Anger pulsed through him as he began taking the tubes out of her arms. Her head lay limp as he held his head up to her chest. She was still alive! She took her in his arms and kissed the top of her head.
"We'll be out of here soon," Asad whispered. Walking towards the door and out into the office the way he came he tried opening the door, but it was locked. Frustrated, he placed Leona down on a couch in the office and tried shaking the nob. But I came through this door and now it's locked? Anger was now raging through his thoughts. Who could have done this to her? Whoever it is they will pay for t- His thoughts stopped as he turned to see someone standing by Leona looking down at her.
"Why take her now?" The person asked. His eyes were now clear and he could see it was someone tall. His mind was still hazy though and he couldn't make out the voice.
"Leave her alone!" He yelled raising his fist. "Touch her and you touch my fist," The person just laughed and walked toward Asad. Now the moonlight hit the person and it was clear it was a man. Asad had seen him around the school before, but didn't have him in any of his classes. He was a year younger than him, but tall for his age. His hair seemed just as black as his attitude, which seemed rotten. Asad knew his name, but couldn't think of it since he was still very tired.
"What makes you think I'll touch her?" He spat walking closer to show that he was much taller than Asad.
"You were the one putting tubes in her arms!" Asad cringed. Then the name came to him. He remembered it was very unique, something like zuur.
"Asad, aren't you?" He asked.
"And you're Zuur?" Asad asked. Then the man laughed.
"Suur actually," He smirked. That was when Asad's fist nearly plunged into his face. Suur dodged it and grinned showing his gold tooth. "Missed. And I thought you said only if I touch her you'll hit me, ah? Not a man of your word," Suur shook his head.
That was when it all came down to the bitter core. They started wrestling and fighting over something that could well be a mistake, but it surely didn't seem like any mistake. The two had began chasing each other around the office and soon began running after one another. Asad was close to Suur as that ran through the building. Nothing more could be said than that Asad was now wide awake and now totally in rage. Of course, he still didn't know what Suur had been doing in the first place, so this was only a fight of vengeance.
"Give up already!" Suur yelled falling to the ground breathing coarsely. Asad had his hands on his knees and was panting also.
"Why give up? I h-have so much to live for..." Asad panted. They both were breathing hard for minutes until it was silent. Asad fell to the ground and laid there. He couldn't fall asleep, but yet he did. Even if he tried to wake up it was pointless. He was already dreaming.
New Chapter! :D Sorry for any errors or mistakes though. I will go back over them
