Chapter 7- Hilliton
It was the first day of Hilliton school and Asad along with Septer, Alessia and Derick were prepared. It was a hot day and the sun burnt down upon everyone. Asad came from his room with his bag in his hand. The school had dorms, much like a college. They would be living at the school for a whole month. When Asad came out into the hallway he bumped into Rachel.
“Where have you been?” Asad asked surprised to see her in a bathing suit.
“At Jackson’s,” Rachel muttered crossing her arms.
“Jackson?” Asad asked narrowing his eyes at her.
“My boyfriend,” Rachel explained walking past him.
“Whoa whoa whoa! Boyfriend? Since when?” Asad asked turning towards her.
“Since three months ago. You didn’t live here remember? So I guess you just found out,” Rachel shrugged turning and walking into her room. Boyfriend? Asad asked himself. He still could hardly believe his younger sister had a boyfriend already. Never the less he went past the kitchen and grabbed some pancakes that were still hot.
“Where are you headed off to so fast?” His mother asked tilting her head.
“Uh,” Asad muttered chewing his pancake. He hadn’t exactly explained that he was going to some random super-power school in the middle of the summer. He didn’t want her to worry so he lied. “Found a house already, yeah. I’ll give you the address as soon as I begin moving in,” Asad smiled going out the door.
“Wait, don’t I get a hug before you leave?” His mother asked frowning.
“Yeah mom. I’ll hug you,” Asad said as they hugged. She pulled away and then frowned.
“Be safe alright?” His mother said kissing him on the forehead. I sure do need it. Asad thought smiling. More than you know. He thought.
“Thanks mom,” Asad said grabbing his things. She smiled and he could see her eyes tearing up. Asad had always been independent. He had moved out after their father had died in a plane crash the day after Asad’s sixteenth birthday. The family was hurting, but Asad seemed to had been hurt the most. His father was with him all the time and loved teaching Asad how to build things. Asad was like his right arm and after the accident he seemed to had become distant with his family. Although his family loved him, it seemed like his mother wanted him to be away because he reminded her too much of her husband. Asad had become a distant family member to them all.

“Hey! Over here!” Alessia yelled waving her hand in the air across the way. Asad waved back and ran over to her standing next to Septer along with Peter. They were standing about three hundred yards from the school. They had followed the address on the website for the school.
“Wait, are you coming too?” Asad asked looking at Peter.
“No. I don’t exactly have a power,” Peter shrugged.
“I’m gonna miss you every day,” Septer sighed hugging him.
“Me too,” Peter said kissing her. Asad looked over at Alessia who now had found Derick in the crowd of people flowing in the school.
“This is going to be fun. Don’t you think?” Alessia asked Derick holding his hand.
“As long as I don’t go hulk I’ll have fun,” Derick sighed looking up at her.
“Yeah, don’t do that,” Alessia said with a straight face. Derick laughed.
“I won’t. You’re the one who won’t let me tiger,” Derick said smirking at her. Asad turned and saw Septer looking over at the two of them. She gagged.
“Please! Do that stuff somewhere else,” Septer groaned putting her hands on her hips facing Derick and Alessia.
“Yeah, look who’s talking. You were just all over Peter,” Derick laughed.
“I’m not going to see him in a month and you get to see Alessia every day. It’s different,” Septer said raising her chin up.
“Not really,” Derick retorted. Septer opened her mouth to say something then Peter turned her chin to face his.
“You’ll have a lot of time to argue with Derick for a month. Right now let’s just enjoy each other,” Peter said quietly to her. Asad looked down and stuffed his hands into his pockets. Third wheel much? Asad thought looking at both ‘couples’. Then Alessia turned and saw Asad looking bored.
“Let’s go get our dorm rooms. I’m sure we will be paired together,” Alessia said pointing to Septer.
“Okay. You guys go ahead. I’m gonna say good-bye to Peter,” Septer said.
“Okay, meet us at the front then,” Alessia said as the three of them walked over to the front office area. People were piling in by the second. They all seemed to look normal though. After a few minutes of pushing through the crowd of people, standing in line, and asking people where to go, they finally got their dorm keys and stood outside the front.
“Too many people man,” Derick huffed leaning against the wall of the building.
“I agree,” Asad said looking down.
“Hey, what rooms did you get? I got Septer’s for her and we are together!” Alessia squealed.
“Uh, I got dorm room fifty-eight,” Derick said looking over to Asad.
“Looks like we’re not together. I got dorm room sixty-eight,” Asad said pointing to the number on his key.
“Good luck,” Alessia said looking at Asad. Septer finally came. She looked sad. “We got rooms together,” Alessia said pointing to the keys.
“Oh goodie!” Septer said taking the key from her hand. So much for her looking sad. Asad thought as they all went up and looked for the dorm rooms.
