I chilled out on Brianna's couch as she and Gene finished picking out roles for the play. Between Thursday and now, they up with a script. They said that it was a about a king who decides to let a servant be his queen.
"Okay! We have the roles for A Good Choice!" Brianna announced. "I don't want to call all the roles out, so nicely line up to get your script, it has everything important.
When I got my script, I immediately looked at the roles.
A Good Choice roles:
Brett - King Adam Howard
Chris - Luke Howard
Ashley - Gwyneth
Jade - Tanya
Katherine - Rose
Nikki - Holly
Lasharee - Maggie
Margaret - Sally
Nick - Henry
Dawson - Mary
*Extra roles are on last page

I flipped a few to see my character description
Holly Clearfield played by Nikki Shay
Holly is one of the many servants of King Adam. She makes it to the second to last round of King Adams choosing ceremony. Holly is quite pleasant, but does tend to have bouts of anger. She comes across as a delicate, kind and elegant young woman, except when she begs, in which she can be unruly.
Great, Holly basically has a multiple personality disorder.
I read through the script. King Adam is a jerk. Luke and Henry tried to lower Adams jerkiness, until he kills Henry. The choosing ceremony goes on. Gwyneth wins, kills King Adam and marries Luke. Very One Night With the King meets Snow White and the Huntsman.
"So, you get to beg on your knees to be with me," Brett whispered in my ear. He sat down next to me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
"I don't think you would like a beggar."
"Oh the joy I would have for a beggar, since a beggar will do anything to get what they want."
"Are you trying to say that I want to have sex with you?" I asked.
"Well," Brett gulped, "I can't say whether or not you want to have sex with me. I, uh -"
"Brett, stop sweating. You know I will always teasingly retaliate when you bring up sexual jokes." Brett was so adorable when he got clammy; I loved making him nervous.
"Yeah, okay."
"Rehearsals start on Wednesday! Afterwards, rehearsals will be on Saturday mornings, every other Monday and on every Tuesday and Wednesday!" I wondered how long I would be able to take Brianna's yelling.
--
"Adam, no! You don't have to do this! Put away the knife!"
"My dear friend, your duty in my life is over. You are no longer needed in this world."
"No Adam, no!"
"Goodbye good friend. Hargh!"
"Agh, the pain!"
"You're still alive?"
"No, of course not. See, I'm quiet."
"Okay. Wait. Dead people don't talk."
