Chapter 14: The Fangs come out

      The blue wolf watches as the door of the city, shuts behind. She jumps and look back at the army in panic. Were the others aware of the mob of blood thirsty beasts outside. Were they aware of her?
      One silver RazorFang turns their head in her direction. It growls and runs its tongue over its chomps. She gulps, slowly backing up in a wall. Kai keeps her mouth shut to avoid anymore RazorFangs catching her. The RazorFang let out a roar, charging towards her.
      Kai quickly dodges out of the way, rolling to the side and running to the Elite's building.
      She bursts through the door and runs up the stairs, out of breath. A light blue blur runs to her side. She looks up to see her mother, Sala, and nearly faints. Just as she almost faints in relief, Ti bursts into the room, out of breath as well.

      "The c-city i-is being attacked b-" Ti is interrupted by a bellicose roar, echoing throughout the city.

      Sala looks up at the ceiling and yowls "We must fight. It is time... FOR THE FANGS TO BE UNLEASHED!" Just as she roars the startling command, a line of soldiers and tourists from around the region that volunteered to fight, came from behind her. Sala signals them down the stairs and into battle. She stops following them and turns to Kai. She stares back and whispers "Do not worry. I will return once this is over. I promise"
      Fear and panic exploded in Kai's mind. A small fragment of horror stuck in the back of her mind as she watches her mother leave for battle with the other Elite members. She felt an odd feeling strike her body. She knew her mother was lying. Lying to protect her. However, she was not going to sit by and watch countless deaths, no, she was going to die fighting one way or another. She was no longer afraid.

      Shade bolts through the doors of the LightFeather Kingdom with Soul flying a few feet in front of him. "We have to make it! An army of RazorFangs is not a good thing!" Shade says outloud. His heart was nearly beating out of his chest. He hears Soul's wingbeats slow down and watches the white feathered dragon land in front of him.

      "Do you want to save us time? Then fly! You know you can. You aren't completely crippled you know!" Soul shouts to him.

      Shade pauses and looks at his wings. Can I really do it again? He wonders. It was hard enough as is, but could he really fly again?
      The black and gray Moonlight wolf opens his wings. He leaps into the air and flaps with all his strength. To his sudden suprise, his wings were working. Shade hovers in the air and watches Soul take flight. He follows behind the large white feathered dragon. Hey! I'm not a dud after all!
