On the platform stands three big cats and three canines. The first one looks down at him. They have a fiery mane and amber eyes that narrow as they spot him.

"Welcome, Moon-Birth. We have been awaiting you." They greet.

Mordecai stands there dumbfounded for a moment. Who were these weird spirit looking animals. Surely not the guardians or he could be wrong. He never imaged them like this.
He sits down, observing the other five. They look down at him with a hint of worry in all of their eyes. Oh great...is this a warning? Whatever their reason for bringing him here was, it didn't seem very good.
The first spirit hops off the platform, standing in front of Mordecai. The others do the same, making a circle around him. The fiery mane spirit speaks again,

"I am the leader of the Furious Felines of Anzellix. I am the lion spirit know as Pymane. My power is wielding the burning power of fire"

Mordecai's body freezes and his heart beat quickens. It was them! The Guardians of Anzellix. The stories were real. He couldn't believe his eyes.

A second spirit walks up to him, "I am the leader of the Chaotic Canines. I am the arctic fox spirit, Polox. I wield the power of ice."

"I...am the tiger spirit, Tiage, The wielder of electricity" The third spirit speaks.

The fourth spirit says nothing for a moment. They watch the Moonlight Prince's posture as he slowly shifts his gaze to them.

"I am the spirit, Jauthum, the wielder of darkness. I hope to enjoy our time together, little one. She says while, beaming at Mordecai with a mysterious glint in her eyes.

Mordecai gulps as he stares back at the black jaguar spirit. What did she exactly mean by that? Was she going to tutor him differently?

The fifth and last spirit jumps up and runs around him. "Welcome! I am the marvelous jackal spirit, Likal. I can wield the power of divine light." The jackal spirit yips.

Pymane turns his body, heading into the shadows. Polaox follows behind as well as the other spirits. Panthum stops and swirls around, facing Mordecai. "Come now. We have much to tell you." She purrs. Mordecai nods his head and follows her into the shadows of the Inner Realm.

There was once a war on Anzellix before it became what we know today. There were tribes of dragons living on this land as well as wolves and other creature. The most unique of the dragon tribes was know as the Lixons. These dragons held magical powers in there blood. However, another tribe know as the Bloodscales, wanted this power.
There was an ancient underground crystal cave that held the power of changing one's destiny. One touch of the Empress Crystal and you would get what you desire. However, there was a downside to this. It was also said that if one's heart was not pure enough, they would fall into a never-ending curse of greed, power, and darkness.
This so happened to be the tall of the Bloodscales as their leader had touched the crystal with a corrupted mind and a heart not pure as could be. This is where the war of Wolves and Dragons started.
A wolf by the name of Anzel and his tribe joined the Lixons and other dragons to and this war. He also meet a Lixon dragon by the name of Lix. Together they raided the Bloodscales and ended a bloody war of power and darkness.
Later they named the land that had not been named, Anzellix. Lix gifted Anzel with the gift of immortality. The other Lixons gifted the other wolves with the same power as well as dragon features. Many of the wolves parted ways and created their own kingdoms that lie here today.
Years passed and a mysterious event occurred in the wolf's life. His dear friend had gone missing and none knew where he had gone. Lix was gone forever it seemed and Anzel lived a life of guilt and loneliness.
