"Oh since you're just begging." I heard Ethan coo sarcastically.

I spun around to face him.

"Ethan what the fuck is this?" He placed his hands on his hips as he shifted his weight.

"My attempt to win you over, and also ask you to prom."

I felt my eyes burn and my vision became blurry. I looked from Ethan to the tree, back and forth.

"Ethan don't play-"

"I'm not playing baby girl," He said softly as he walked towards me. He slid his arms around me as he looked down at me.

"I threw out the bait, you bit it, now I'm just trying to reel you in." I lowered my head but Ethan took my chin forcing me to meet his gaze.

"I'm not playing you, I'm not using you, I'm not lying to you. You're different from all the others. You have a brain and you give a shit, you give a shit things most people don't, including me. You cared enough to help me with my grades when no one else would."

"Ethan, you made me."

"But you could have said no."

"You wouldn't let me"

"You just didn't fight back hard enough, like you are now."

"Ethan I'm not fight-"

"Then say yes," He breathed as he pulled me closer. Now I truly couldn't breathe, and I could feel tears falling down my face.

"Come on baby it's just prom, and I'll make it a night to remember I promise."

Oh I know he could, and I knew he would try. A part of me even wanted him to...

"And if I say no?" I croaked.

"I know you'd be lying, and I'd consider it a yes." He grinned.

"And why would you do that?" I smile, twirling around so I'm walking away from him backwards toward the four wheeler. Ethan shrugs.

"I totally just rained on your parade, didn't I ball boy?"

I lean against the seat, my feet propped on the foot rest. He strolls over to me, leaning over me with his palms pressed into the machine on either side of my hips. He leans his face closer to mine.

"Can't have a rainbow without a little rain."

"Aren't you Mr. Poetic." I can't help but smile. Finally, he leans in so our lips are pressed together and i put my hands on his shoulders, running them up and down his arms. He bites my lower lip, nearly pulling at it. A small moan escapes me and I can feel him smile.

"There's my rainbow." He says against my lips, before pressing his against them once more.

"You give really good hugs." I tell him minutes later as I'm standing in arms and he's leaned up against a tree.

"So I've been told."

"Can't you just take the freaking compliment?" I playfully hit his chest and he pretends to be hurt. He pulls me into him tighter so his chin can rest on my head. Both of us let out comfortable sighs.

"You still didn't answer my question." Ethan says, and I can hear the concern without even looking at him.

"I'll have to think on that one."

Might as well play with it for a bit. Seeing someone actually liking me this much and willing to wait for me is pretty cool, I will admit.

"How long?" He whines.

"You'll just have to wait and find out." I skip over to the four wheeler, hopping on. I turn on the engine, revving it a bit.

"Mind if I take it for a ride?"

"You know how to drive these?"

"I was in dirt bike races when I was nine. I'm pretty sure I'll be good."

He shrugs and allows me to take off. As I drive through the trees and more onto the path that's been made, I suddenly feel more free than I have in a really long time. Is it because I'm speeding on a four wheeler through a breathtaking forest, or is it because one of the hottest, most popular guys in school wants to take me to prom, and probably more?

More.

That's such a loaded concept in this case, it nearly has the power to make me sick.
