MacKenzie's POV

I hear voices in the cortex.

Not Barry's though.

Sitting up in my crawl space from the spot I passed out in, I rub my eyes and look through the vent and see Cisco, Iris, Joe and Professor Stein. Then, Barry speeds in.

"What are you guys doing here?" Barry asks them.

"Working." Iris says from the desk.

"So, Caitlin was right." Cisco says.

"Yes, all humans contain small amounts of radiation due to contact with cell phones, microwaves, televisions, et cetera." Stein says. "Our bodies are natural conductors."

"I think our meta's been sucking up all the radiation around him and using it to power himself." Cisco says.

"Which is why the x-ray machines at the hospital failed the day of the rally." Iris says.

"So, if we want to find him, we gotta look for places without radiation." Cisco says.

Cisco starts typing on the computer.

"All right, guys, I don't want any of you here right now." Barry says.

"Tough. You need your partners. You need your friends." Joe says.

"Barry, everyone in this room cares about you, but we also care about this city." Iris says. "We all want to make a difference, and that means fighting metahumans, and that means working with The Flash. You can't deny us that. Not anymore."

"Got him." Cisco says. "There's a three block dead zone near a hazardous waste reclamation plant. It should be blooming with rads, and right now it's at zero."

"That's where you'll find your atom smasher." Stein says and Cisco stares at him. "Because he absorbs atomic power, and he, well, smashes."

"Come here." Cisco says, hugging Stein. "That's a great name. Welcome to the team."

"Thank you." STein says.

"Great, guys, thank you. You can go now, all right?" Barry says.

"Barry, you need to let Cisco and Stein figure out a way to stop this guy." Joe says.

"No, I don't." Barry says and he speeds out of the cortex.

"Barry left his comm system behind. We can't talk to him. He's on his own." Cisco says.

"Is there really no way of knowing what's going on in there?" Iris asks from the desk.
"I'm looking for the security cameras." Cisco says, typing on the computer. "Booyah."

The security camera shows up in the computers and screens and the only way I know this is cause I may have stolen one of the computers from the cortex and put it in my crawl space. But hey, I use it for security cameras and hacking, which I've gotten a lot better at.

I watch the screen and Barry is getting choked by the Atom Smasher.

"Dad." Iris says.

"Maybe I can make it there." Joe says.

"No, you won't, and what are you gonna do when you get there? The Boot didn't work on him." Cisco says.

"Alarm!" Stein says.

"Believe me, we're all alarmed." Cisco says.

"No, the alarm system. You've tapped into the surveillance cameras, correct?" Steins asks.

"Correct!" Cisco says. "Come on, feel the noize."

Barry gets thrown into the wall a few more times until the alarm goes off and he speeds away when the Atom Smasher is distracted.
