"Come back!" Beau wined as he laid on Mitch's bed alone waiting for him to come back and watch the movie.
Mitch giggled walking back into the room, "God you're needy," He said as he set the glass of water he'd gotten on the nightstand.
"Only for you babe," Beau grinned as Mitch settled in next to him. They were about to play the movie when Mitch's phone started to ring.
He looked at the caller ID and sighed. "Why aren't you answering?" Beau asked curiously and Mitch rolled his eyes. "I knew it! I knew you too were fighting."
He said and Mitch sighed before deciding to answer it. "What is it Scott?" He asked and Beau looked at him surprised mouthing the words "harsh" earning and light smack on his arm.
"Hi, is this Mitch Grassi?" An unfamiliar voice spoke and Mitch sat up confused.
"This is him. Where's Scott?" He asked immediately worried.
"He's fine just wasted. I'm a bartender at the club on 16th and O. I cut your friend Scott off and took his keys. If you can you should pick him up." He said and Mitch sighed nodding and getting out of bed.
"Yeah yeah, I'll be there soon. Keep his keys away from him." He said before hanging up and and putting on a jacket.
"He okay?" Beau asked noticing the lack of urgency.
"He's fine just wasted at the club around the corner. I gotta go get him." He said and Beau nodded sitting up.
"You want me to come with you?" He asked and Mitch shrugged before nodding. Beau nodded and got up as well.
-
They entered the club looking around and not seeing Scott at first. They made their way to the bartender and got his attention.
"I'm Mitch, you called me to come get Scott." He practically shouted over the loud music. The bartender nodded and handed him the keys and Scott's phone.
"He's right over there." He said nodding the the man sucking face with a random stranger.
Mitch thanked the bartender and told Beau to wait while he went and got Scott. Mitch tapped on Scott's shoulder, pulling him out of his sloppy make out session.
"Mitchie!" He screeched before basically tackling Mitch into a large hug. Mitch laughed patting his back.
"Come on Scott, lets get you home." Mitch said and Scott pulled out of the hug and turned to the guy he was making out with. The guy shrugged and walked over the dance floor.
Scott pouted and nodded as he stumbled a few feet. Mitch grabbed onto him and put Scott's arm around his shoulders so that Scott could lean on him. When they reached Beau, he did the same with Scott's other arm.
As they got outside Scott started slurring, "Beau..." he said before burping.
"Yeah, Scott?" Beau asked clearly amused.
"You treat my Mitchie right... I guess he's not really mine anymore. We're not even friends anymore..." Scott burped again before continuing. "Just take good care of him cus I'm not gonna be around much longer."
Beau looked up at him immediately concerned and so did Mitch. "What do you mean you won't be around much longer Scottie?" He asked and Scott shrugged getting his arms back when they got back to Mitch's car.
"Don't want to live with him if he doesn't like me anymore." He said and Beau looked at Mitch warily. Mitch just stared at Scott for a second before turning to Beau.
"Can you drive him home? I'm gonna drive his car home." He said shakily and Beau nodded taking the keys.
"Of course." He said as he watched Mitch try and get Scott's attention.
"Hey, do you remember where you parked?" He asked and Scott looked like he was thinking really hard before he spun around and pointed excitedly. Mitch looked over saw the car and nodded.
"Okay see you guys at home." Mitch said leaving without another word and walking over to Scott's car.
"Come on Scottie let's get you home okay?" Beau said opening the passenger door for him. Scott practically fell into the car and Beau shut the door behind him.
Luckily when Beau got to his own side Scott had managed to buckle his own seatbelt. After a few minutes of silence, Scott blurred out, "I'm sorry."
Beau jumped a little at the sudden outburst before furrowing his eyebrows in concern. "For what?" He asked and glanced over to see Scott holding one of his knees up and tears running down his cheeks.
"I fucked up everything. I got so mad at him but... really... it's just me... like me is the problem... maybe he has changed but I'm just butt... hurt that he doesn't love me as much as I love him." He slurred and stumbled with his words.
Beau frowned and glanced over again before keeping his eyes on the road at he spoke. "Are you in love with him?" He asked and Scott bit the inside of his cheek.
"I was until I realized he doesn't give a shit about me or what I feel." He said bitterly before sniffling.
Beau sighed, "You know that's not true, Scott. You're his best friend-" Scott cut him off.
"Not anymore. He said it himself."He said sadly before turning himself to look out the window as they drove on the highway.
"He's just mad and so are you but you guys will work it out. I promise." Beau said trying to reassure the drunk giant in his front seat.
Scott sighed, "we talked already and he doesn't seem to want to try and fix anything so..." Scott started to feel himself sober up a little and the pain in his heart grew.
"I'm going to move out. So you guys should take the apartment. It'll be easier for me not to be around him as much." He said and Beau noticed his sentences becoming more stable.
He glanced over at him and nodded sadly. "We will both be sad to see you go but we... I understand it's what you need." They pulled into the driveway seeing that they beat Mitch home.
"But Scott," He said stopping Scott from getting out of the car. "You are always welcome to come back. This is your's and his apartment first. And umm... just... I'm sorry." He said awkwardly and Scott smiled at him nodding.
"Thanks Beau, again take good care of him." He said and as he got out of the car Mitch had also just got out of his own car.
Scott took one glance at him before walking back to the house without a word.
