It was Monday morning, and the sound of my alarm waking me up for school was the last thing I wanted today. I turned over, once again hitting the snooze button in the hope of an extra five minutes of undisturbed sleep.A loud bang was heard followed by repeated poundings on the front door resulting in a scowl and having to reluctantly remove the duvet that I was cocooned in. I tightened my dressing gown and made my way down the stairs, each step getting angrier and angrier at the impatient visitor.
"I'm coming!" I shouted.
Swinging the door open dramatically, ready to give the person on the other side a piece of my mind.
"Alec?"
My mouth dropped wide open, all previous annoyance disappearing.
"I thought you weren't coming home from another week." I stated whilst throwing my arms around him, slightly getting wet from the rain that was ferociously poring down.
"Surprise" he laughed, "Now please move out of the way so I can stop getting drenched!"
I chuckled, moving out of the doorway to allow Alec to pass, letting him chuck the heavy duffle bags onto the floor.
"Where is everyone else?" Alec asked, looking around the hallway as if he was expecting the other three to be behind me.
"Mum and Will are in work, and you know how James feels about early mornings." I shrugged, surprised that he expected anything else.
"Let me guess, the only reason that your actually up is because you have school?"
I laughed, "Guess you're finally getting used to how this family works." Making my way up the stairs to get ready for school, I turned my head slightly before shouting back to Alec, "Glad to have you back!"
Alec rolled his eyes, picking up his bags to take to his room, "Oh, I can tell!"

You could always tell when it was the week before exams started. Students rushed around in a panicked frenzy, carrying way too many books that they probably won't even bother reading.
After placing my books into my locker, I made my way to my first class. Thankfully all my courses were finished last month, so I managed to escape the frenzy among with a few others.
Sitting at the back of the class as usual I picked out my notebook and began revising. I was so absorbed into my work until I heard the chair next to me screech along the floor. I looked up to see Susan chucking her bag along the back of the chair.
"This seat isn't taken is it?" Susan asked.
"Not unless you can see someone there that I can't see." I answered sassily to her stupid question. No one has sat next to me in months, of course it was empty.
"I just wanted to let you know me and Luke broke up yesterday." She muttered quietly.
"Scared I'm going to steal your ex-boyfriend?" I asked with a roll of my eyes.
"No of course not! Turns out Luke was in on James games, I only found out yesterday when I was going through his texts. If its any consolation I broke up with him straight away!" Susan attempted to justify her actions.
"Yet you couldn't even give me five seconds to explain to you months ago." I shrugged, dismissing her lame excuse.
"I know, I know. I'm so sorry! I know there is no excuse, I should have listened to you. I just wasn't thinking straight. It was impulsive and stupid, but I really miss you."
