Isabelle was a small town's pride and joy, living a life sheltered by popularity. She never knew what it was like to face the wrath that came with small town rumours. That was until someone walked into her life and turned it upside down.
If Shawn noticed anything different in the way I was acting around him he didn't mention anything. I had tried my upmost to forget the image of a certain someone that had flooded my head and made certain that a repeat with Shawn never happened.
Shawn must have gotten the hint as he didn't attempt to kiss me again. I just couldn't risk that feeling again. We had continued to spend the rest of the time together, but for some reason I couldn't help but stop thinking about what happened.
It was the last day here, so Mum had decided that we needed to at least spend one night all together. I had decided to wear my white bandeau paired with my white cotton shirt that was short at the front and slightly longer at the back. Seeing as it was slightly breezy tonight I chucked on my denim jacket just in case. I had hardly made any effort with my hair, leaving it to dry naturally, knowing that even if I did anything to it the wind would tear apart my hard work in the matter of minutes.

Mum and Will decided that we were all going to go to the Beach Party that the resort was throwing tonight together after spending most of our holiday separately.
As soon as we arrived a person dressed in a Hula outfit placed purple flowers around our necks. People were dancing around the bonfire and joining in on the games that the entertainment team were running. Mum and Will left to go and get us some drinks, leaving me alone with James and Alec for the first time during the entire holiday.
James turned to me and asked, "Where is lover boy?" He refused to say his name, which I know full well that he knew.
"Where's Kate?" I countered, not liking the sarcastic tone he was using towards me.
"She's gone home." He answered bitterly before turning his back on me to speak to Alec.
I slightly walked away from them both before deciding to sit down whilst waiting for Mum and Will. Alec turned after something that James said and walked up towards me.
"Can I join?" He asked.
"Sure." I rolled my eyes, knowing that he would have done so either way.
"What's going on between you two? Before the holiday you seemed to be getting on?" He questioned.
"I don't know." I answered honestly.
"He missed you these last two weeks, not that he'd admit it, but he has."
I scoffed, "I highly doubt that."
"You'd be surprised." He muttered.
After Mum and Will returned we all sat together around the fire, joining in on the games and dancing with the locals.
After a while I caught a glimpse of James walking back towards the hotel. Slightly running towards him I grabbed his arm to stop him.
He turned to look who had grabbed his arm and did a bad job at concealing his surprise that it was me.
"What do you want?" He snapped.
"What's going on with you James?" I questioned. My eyebrows scrunched up in confusion at his abruptness towards me.
"Just go and enjoy the party without me, you've seemed to have been able to do it this entire holiday so I'm sure you can do it for one more night." He brushed off my hand, and started to turn away from me.
"Don't even try to turn this on me!" I fake laughed, "You were so busy with Kate I'm surprised you even remembered I exist!" I exclaimed.
He raised his eyebrows at me, shaking his head slightly. "Kate left a week ago, not that you would know seeing as you've been MIA this entire time." He spat out.
"That's not my problem your girl left early." I shrugged, not understanding how this is my fault.
"She's not my girl!" He bellowed and stormed off leaving me stood with my mouth agape at his reaction.
As soon as James left I turned around to see Shawn stood behind me.
