Alec POV
"Alec where's my charger?" I could hear James shout from upstairs.
"Why would I know?" I yelled back up from the bottom of the stairs, grabbing my hand luggage, about to make my way to the car.
James came running out of his room with his rucksack over his shoulder, "You had it the other day!"
"James, we have different phones, so I wouldn't have used it."
By the time James realised that I was telling the truth and found the charger hidden under a mass of clothes in his room, Isabelle was already asleep in the car. She was curled into a corner with a hoodie over her head, probably attempting to block out James' voice next to her, who refused to admit that he was wrong.
James for some reason wanted the middle seat, and was now sandwiched between Isabelle and myself for the next few hours. We finally left the driveway after Dad eventually decided that we had everything.
All that could be heard, other than the low murmur of Dad's music, was the slight bang of Isabelle's head which was continually hitting the window after every slight bump in the road. It sure didn't look comfortable.
I felt James slightly budge over, moving further away from me. Curiously wondering what he was doing I turned to see James slowly wake Isabelle up and moved her so that her head was on his lap after making a pillow out of his hoodie. Isabelle smiled up at him and curled her legs up onto her seat, resting her head comfortably on James lap before closing her eyes once again.
I had started to notice the way that James looked at Isabelle when he thought no one was looking. It was evident that a lot had changed since the last time I was home to visit. For one Isabelle wasn't repulsed by James' existence and was clearly a lot more comfortable around him. James continued to look straight ahead, avoiding meeting my gaze. I turned to look out the window, realizing this holiday may be a lot more interesting than what I originally thought.
It took around three hours before we arrived at Gatwick airport, and it was fair to say that Dad still can't sing even after those painful hours of trying. I jumped out of the car, eager to stretch out my legs that had slightly lost feeling from not being able to move. James gently woke Isabelle up, who I can confirm can sleep through anything. After grabbing the suitcases, we made our way into the airport.
After about an hour we had finally made our way through customs and security, which would have been a lot quicker if it wasn't for the fact that Dad somehow didn't realise he had so much liquid in his hand luggage that he had to be searched.
For some reason Dad thought it was a good idea to spend the rest of the time looking in shops knowing that he had absolutely no intention of buying anything. We wandered around helplessly before being called for our flight. In no time we were on the flight and on the way to Mexico.
Isabelle POV
As soon as we got off the plane the heat hit our faces, embracing us with a warmth that could only be dreamt about back at home. Mexico was absolutely breath taking from the moment we got here. It was about an hour drive to the resort from the airport, where we were greeted with cocktails and mocktails seeing as I wasn't 18 for another three weeks. I feel like Mum and Will definitely did that on purpose!
The good thing with having James here meant that he and Alec would share a room, leaving me to have a room completely to myself. I rushed into my room that was big enough to fit another two people in and began to quickly unpack. Even though I'm still slightly annoyed at Mum's decision to make us travel ridiculously early it did mean that we still had most of the day left. In an effort to not waste any more time stuck in the room I chucked a bikini on and made my way down to the beach.
The slight wind from the waves blew my hair off my face and I walked along the beach, burying my feet into the clear white sand with every step. I walked past all the people at the resort who had clustered around the beach bar towards the outskirts of the hotel where the beach was pretty much empty. Without the sound of the Spanish music blasting from the bar the sounds of the waves gently crashing could only be heard. Placing my towel on the sand I decided to lie down and embrace the tranquillity, which quickly sent me to sleep.
I must have been asleep for a good few hours because by the time I woke up the sun was setting, and the beach was only left with a handful of people. Grabbing my stuff, I made my way back to the room.
I was so in my own world that I didn't notice someone running towards me. A tall, brunette girl who looked like she came straight off a Victoria Secret swim wear catalogue came crashing in to me, nearly knocking me to my feet.
"I'm so sorry I didn't notice you there!" She exclaimed in a very American accent.
I was to in awe of her beauty that it took me a while to reply, "Oh, don't worry about it."
How could someone look like that? I slowly began to feel very self-conscious in my bikini standing next her.
"Kate, I know I said race you to the sea, but you didn't tell me you were that fast!" A panting James came up towards the model who I'm assuming to be Kate.
I guess he finally noticed that I was there as well as he asked, "Isabelle, what are you doing here?"
Kate was the one to reply, looking questionably between the two of us. "You two know each other?"
James, quick to shut down any insinuations replying, "She's Alec's sister", with a shrug that couldn't be any more passive if he tried.
That seemed to make Kate more at ease as she smiled up at James before reaching out her hand, "Shall we go then?"
It wasn't seconds before he had grabbed onto her hand and left with a mutter of, "Catch you later."
I wasn't surprised that James had managed to land a model within hours of arriving here, let alone someone as perfectly good looking as Kate. For some reason it annoyed me how I wasn't even classed as a friend, I was the 'friend's sister'. Refusing to let James' comment annoy me for the rest of the night I returned to my room to get ready for tonight.
