Diana's POV
I got up at 10:00 and went to get breakfast. Bernice was already awake having breakfast. She really woke up early and came over?
"Why hello. Glad to see you get out of bed." She says.
"Hardy har har. It's only 10:00. I can't believe you're up already."
"Yea well I wanted to talk to you but I also didn't want to wake you up."
"Talk about what?" I asked. Nerves kick in. It's way too early for this.
"What happened with Jonah last night?" She asks raising her eyebrows. She wants full on details, this I can tell.
"Nothing." I respond quickly.
"C'mon Diana. Clue me in. I want to be a part of your life."
I understand now. She didn't know I had been cutting and feels guilty for not knowing because she couldn't stop me.
"Really, nothing. We were on the balcony and talked a bit. Remembered how we met. Then Sophia found us." I explain.
"Oh."
"He also texted me last night. But I went to bed almost right away."
"Do you think you like him again?" Asks Nicey.
"I don't know. If I'm being honest, I don't want to like him. I want that in the past. Really, if anything I'm just trying to be friends with him."
"Well that makes sense. You guys have been through a lot." She Says. I look at the clock. It is now 10:20.
"Oh shoot! I need to get dressed. Sophia and I are going to the mall. Do you want to come with?" I ask.
"Nah. I'm spending the day with Zach. But have fun."
"Thanks. You too." I say and go to get ready.
