A Minute of Normal

Diana's POV
"Diana, I am so glad you could stay for dinner." Says Carrie. Jonah had invited me to stay and I wanted to spend time with him and his family so I agreed.
"Oh well, thank you for having me." At the table is Carrie, Jonah, Esther, and Svea.
"You are always welcome here Diana." Says Carrie.

I like being with the Frantzich's. It makes me think my life is normal.
"You know the girls really missed seeing you around." Says Jonah.
"Jonah!" The girls both say. I laugh.
"I missed you guys too." I say,"How about we hang out soon? Just the three of us." I say. Their faces brighten. We decide we'll go to lunch this weekend. Dinner is amazing. Sadly the time comes where it's so late I must be getting home.

When dinner ends I thank Carrie. Jonah walks me home.
"I'm happy you came over." He says to me as we walk up the balcony stairs.
"I am too. I missed them." I say with a smile. When I was younger they took me in. They were like my second family. One where I didn't have to fear anything. They had no clue what my life was like at home... except for Jonah.

"I'll check in tomorrow morning." He says. I want to tell him he doesn't have to but I just nod and smile.
"Goodnight." I say to him as I head into my room. I turn around and watch him walk down my balcony. When he's safely home I turn back around. That's when I realize my mom is sitting on my bed.

"Mom? What are you doing here?" I ask.
"Coming in late? How was dinner?" She asks. That's when I remember that I forgot to tell her where I was all this time. I could tell she wasn't mad though.
"It was nice. I got to have a minute of normal." I say to her and sit.
She kisses my head.

"And how is he?" She asks.

Apparently I just don't have time to do anything. March has been kinda busy. Hopefully the next chapter won't take me so long to write! Enjoy this one! Love you guys so much!!!!
