Rowan's P.O.V
When I woke up, I was very confused as to where I was. I didn't remember much after being on the plane heading home. Looking around, I realized I was in the hospital, hooked up to an I.V, and several monitors. Jeremy was snoring on the window bed, and I didn't want to wake him up. I had no idea how long we had been there, or even what time it was, but it was rather dark outside.
I looked around the room, spotting my phone, just in reach. I smiled a little, carefully reaching it, not wanting to wake up my husband. Once I finally had my phone, I was able to see that is was around four in the morning. Of course I had to wake up, at a crazy early hour. What I really wanted was to be at home, with my family where I was supposed to be.
"Rowan, why didn't you wake me?"
I jumped at the sound of Jeremy's voice.
"Babe... you startled me. And I didn't want to wake you, I figured you were pretty exhausted."
"Well, I'm tired, yeah... But what is important is that you are okay."
"I'm fine, darling... I want to go home."
"Tomorrow sometime you can. They said you were pretty dehydrated, and want to keep an eye on you, and the baby."
I just nodded, not really looking at anything but my hands.
"I'm sorry, for everything Jeremy. I didn't mean to cut our trip short, or scare you..."
"Rowan, you have nothing to be sorry about. You were sick, and there wasn't anything you could really do about it."
"Is Annie okay?"
"She's worried about you, but she's fine. Scarlett is watching her for us."
"Oh... well, I... I'm sorry."
I was on the verge of crying, when Jeremy quickly got up, and pulled me into a hug.
"Babe, it's okay. Nothing to be sorry for. It's okay."
It was nice to have the reassurance that I hadn't done anything wrong... which I knew I hadn't but with my hormones being all over the place I really was struggling with all of it.
"Rowan, you did nothing wrong. All that is important is that you are okay, and we are going home tomorrow...."
"I'm sorry, Jeremy... I just...."
All I could do was burry my face in his neck, and fight back my sobs. Jeremy just held me until I calmed down.
"You need to rest, Rowan... The last thing we need is for you to be stressed out."
"I know... It's just...I know."
"Rowan... babe, I know this is hard on you... I'm sorry. I wish that I could do more to help."
"Just being here for me is all I really need Jeremy. You do so much for me... more than you know."
"I'm just glad that I can be there for you. I love you so much, Rowan. You're my wife, and I'm going to be here for you no matter what happens."
I smiled softly at my sweet husband. I didn't deserve him, and that made me love him even more than I already did, if that was even possible.
