Mitch wakes up about 30 minutes later and gets the pleasure of hearing Scott hum. Since his head is on Scott's chest, he can feel the vibrations as well.
"Alpha, I'm hungry. Also, you have a very calming voice."
"Thank you, Sunshine. Let's go downstairs and get a snack, yeah?" Mitch blushes a little at the nickname but nods anyway and moves off of Scott so he can stand up.
"Wait, will you... never mind, it's stupid." He mumbles the last part.
"Hey now, if you want to say something, say it. It's not stupid, I can tell."
"I was gonna ask if you could carry me.. but I realized I'm probably too fat for you to. I don't wanna hurt your arms." Mitch tells him, letting out a small squeak when Scott picks him up to hold on his hip.
"Mitchy, you're not fat, you're so tiny and skinny. I don't ever want you to talk down about yourself again. You're absolutely beautiful, your weight doesn't define you."
"B-but my old Alpha never let me eat bec—" Scott gently cut him off.
"No, baby, no. He is a terrible human being and he didn't deserve to be your Alpha. He filled your head with lies because you're so goddamn..pardon my language.. beautiful that he couldn't handle it without being jealous. Anything negative he said to you about yourself is a complete and total lie. You are the most gorgeous person anyone has ever laid eyes on and I can't wait for the day where you start to see it yourself." Once Scott finished, Mitch wrapped his arms and legs tighter around Scott as he laid his head on Scott's shoulder.
"That's the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me. Thank you, Alpha"
"You're welcome, beautiful. Wanna go eat now?" Mitch nods and they go downstairs.
"Hey guys, Kevin made you a snack. He figured you'd be hungry." Todrick looks up at them from his book.
"Okay, thanks." Scott responds. Mitch just signs 'Thank You' in sign language. When he was with his old Alpha, he would be beaten so much that he couldn't speak. Thus, Todrick taught him ASL so he could tell him what he wanted.
They walk into the kitchen to see two small sandwiches. Scott sets Mitch down on the counter and hands him one of the snacks.
"Make sure to thank Kevin next time you see him, please."
"Yes, sir."
"Do you like the beach?" Scott asks as they finish their food.
"I've never been there, sir. My parents could never afford to take me and then in my old pack..." He trials off at the end, not wanting to bring it up.
"I can take you, if you want." Scott tells him, causing his eyes to widen.
"Really?" He nods and Mitch smiles wide, dimples and teeth on full display.
"We can go get you a swim suit on our way over there. When do you want to go?"
"Can we go now, please?"
"You're so polite, of course we can. Let's go get dressed, then we can leave." He helps Mitch down from the counter and they walk upstairs.
"May I wear one of your shirts, please." Instead of answering, Scott just hands Mitch one of his shirts and a pair of Mitch's jeans. Scott starts to walk to the bathroom to get changed, but Mitch grabs his arm.
"Please don't leave." Mitch practically whimpers, making Scott's heart hurt.
"I was just gonna..." He stops talking when he sees the look on Mitch's face, immediately pulling him into a hug. "I wouldn't leave you, sweetheart." He tells him as Mitch grips his shirt in his small hands.
"C-can you just change here? We can just have our backs facing each other or something." Mitch suggests.
"Yeah, sure." Scott kisses Mitch's forehead before they both get changed. Once they're done, Scott tells Avi where they're going and they leave to the store.
Once they get Mitch's swim suit and change one again, they drive to the beach, which is about 40 minutes from where they live.
"We should play a game." Scott randomly states after about 10 minutes into the trip.
"Ooh! I love games!" Mitch says, clapping a little.
"Me too. Umm.. what about Never Have I Ever, minus the drinking. Have you played it before?"
"Yes, sir. Toddy and I used to play it to make me feel better sometimes."
"Okay, I'll start. Never have I ever cheated on a test." Mitch puts down a finger.
"Really? I never would've guessed you have before."
"I mean.. it wasn't easy though. I programmed the answers into one of those facy ass—" Mitch slapped a hand over his mouth. "I'm so sorry, Alpha! Please don't punish me!"
"Mitchy, it's fine. I would never punish you, especially over something that small. Just try not to do it again, okay?"
"I promise, sir."
"It's not a problem to slip up here and there. You're okay. Now, as you were saying?" Scott prompted him.
"I programmed the stuff I didn't know into one of those fancy calculators and ended up getting an A. My turn! Never have I ever.. umm... Never have I ever kissed a girl." Scott doesn't put down a finger.
"Darn it! I thought I stumped you."
"Nope. I'm too gay to do that. Boys are a lot better, aren't they?" Mitch laughs and nods.
They continue to play games until they get to the beach. Once they do, Mitch is amazed by the beauty of it all.
"Alpha look! It's so pretty!" Mitch states in awe, Scott watching him with a fond smile.
"Yeah, it is. Well, let's go then." He grabs Mitch's hand and leads him toward the beach, smiles on both of their faces, loving every second.
