After five days, Mitch's heat finally ends and the couple goes home.

They walk in the door and Kevin doesn't even look up from his book, "Her room." As he knows that's what Mitch was about to ask.

Mitch quickly goes upstairs to see Todrick sitting in the rocking chair with Peyton as she plays with his necklace.

"Welcome back, Monkey. I'm assuming you want her?"

"Yes, please." Todrick gets up and hands Peyton over to Mitch, "Hi, little one. I missed you so much." Peyton reaches up and grabs Mitch's chin.

"She missed you guys."

"I also missed you, Toddy."

"And I you."

Mitch looks back down at the baby, "Let's go see Daddy. You coming, Toddy?" Todrick nods and follows Mitch downstairs.

"Alpha?" Mitch calls, hearing a response from the kitchen.

"Hi, loves." Mitch gives Peyton to Scott and pecks Scott's lips.

"I hurt."

"What? Why?" Scott's head snaps over to Mitch.

"Umm.." Mitch blushes and looks at the ground.

Scott smirks, "Ohhh, I think I get it. Wanna tell me just in case?"

"Not really."

"I guess I can't help you then."

Mitch looks back up at Scott, "Alpha, don't make me say it."

"Say what?"

He looks back down and blushes again, "My bum hurts."

Scott smiles, "Alright, love, I'll get you something." Scott goes to the medicine cabinet and gets Mitch a pill before giving it to him, "It's chewable, so you can just eat it."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome, baby."

"Alpha, I love you."

"I love you, too, Angel."

Kirstie walks in, "Alpha Scott, my Alpha wanted me to ask you if we could start the room today?"

"Sure, did you guys get everything you needed when we were gone?"

"Yes, Sir. We also got everything out of it that we don't need to use and we put it in the attic."

"Then yeah, we can definitely start today."

"Thank you!"

"Do you and Av want to do it alone or do you want help?"

"Help, please. You're strong and Mitchy is good at decorating. Can we do it now?"

"That alright, love?" Scott asks Mitch, who nods.

"Okay, let's go." They go into the room and get the paint cans.

"You know how I told you we went to the adoption center?" Avi asks Scott as they pry open the cans.

"Yeah, while we were gone."

"We met a little boy, Lucas. He's seven years old and he hasn't been assigned yet, but they think he's a Beta. He has dirty blond hair and it's fairly long but he seems to like it that way, he also has green eyes like me."

"And his favorite color is light purple?"

"Yeah, that's why we're painting it that."

"That makes sense. What's going on with the whole adoption process?"

"We'll either have a court hearing or they'll just decide by looking at our file. It's between us and another family, so we don't know anything. Our social worker seems to think the judge will rule in our favor."

"That's great! When will you know for sure?"

"By the end of the week, hopefully." Avi and Kirstie paint half of the room while Scott and Mitch paint the other half.

"Pey, no, you can't eat the paint. I know it's pretty, but you can't eat it." Mitch wipes Peyton's hand off before going back to painting. Mitch decided that putting her in the stomach baby carrier (??) would be easiest considering it's the only way he can hold her while painting.

"Damn it."

"Little ears and Omega ears are present."

"Bite me, Av."

"That's Mitch's job."

"It's the other way around."

"What happened?" Mitch chimes in, trying to hide the fact that his cheeks are pink.

"I got a bunch of paint on my shirt."

"Take it off." Mitch suggests without hesitation, making Scott laugh.

"You don't seem too sure."

Mitch sticks his tongue out at Scott and looks down to see Peyton holding a paint brush.

"Peyton, you can't have that either." He gently takes it from her and she starts crying. "Shh, let's go get your paci, yeah? It's okay, my little one." Mitch coos as he walks out of the room to go get her pacifier.

"He's such a good mother." Kirstie comments after he leaves.

"Isn't he, though? He always knows exactly what Peyton needs right away."

"I hope I'm that way."

Scott looks at her, "You will be. You'll be an amazing mother to Lucas, there's no doubt about it."

"Thanks, Alpha Scott."

"You're welcome."

They finish painting the room and decide to take a lunch break, which is when Avi gets a call.

"It's Janet." Janet is the social worker in the adoption case.

"Answer it!"

"Hello?"

...

"Yes, of course. This week?"

...

"Okay, thank you. See you then, bye." He hangs up and looks at Kirstie, "I'm a father." Kirstie smiles.

"Wait, what?

"Janet said they looked over our file and ruled in our favor. We're parents, snowflake!" Kirstie tears up as they both stand to hug each other.

"I'm a mom, Alpha." She cries, a huge smile on her face.

"We're parents, Kit."
