Telling Scott and Mitch's parents that Mitch is pregnant.

***

It's been a few days since the Pack found out about Mitch's pregnancy, and Scott and Mitch thought it was time to tell their parents. The rest of the Pack is out now, knowing the couple needs their space.

"Are we going out? No, they're coming here, right?"

"Right. They'll be here in a few minutes. Stop worrying, everything will be okay."

"But, Sir, you know how my parents feel about premarital sex. What if they disown me?"

"Baby, they love you way too much to do that."

"Maybe, but what if they don't acknowledge our baby as their grandchild because it'll be born out of wedlock? I want baby to have all of her grandparents in her life."

"I know you do, and he will have all of his grandparents. Sweetheart, worrying about the situation won't make it any better or worse. You're going to have an anxiety attack if you keep thinking like this, just breathe."

"I can't stop thinking, Alpha."

"I'm gonna teach you something called box breathing, okay?" Mitch nods, "I'll 'draw' a box in the air with my finger and with each line, you inhale and exhale. So let's say for the horizontal lines, you inhale and for the vertical lines, you exhale. Understand?"

"Yes, Sir." Scott starts to do the motions for a few minutes before he takes his hand away to let Mitch picture the box on his own. He does it for a few more minutes until he finally calms down.

"Why did that work?" Mitch asks afterwards.

"You had to concentrate on the box and your breathing rather than everything you're worried about." Scott explains.

"How do you know that?"

"I talked to Todrick and he's been teaching me what to do when something happens." Mitch smiles a little a hugs Scott tightly.

"You're so sweet, I love you."

"Thank you, baby boy, I love you too." Soon, the doorbell rings and Scott immediately feels Mitch tense and his breathing picks up.

"No, no. You're okay. Remember to breathe, my love." Scott pecks his lips and gets up to answer the door to see his own parents there. They say their hellos and he lets them in.

Mitch stands up to introduce himself, "Hi, Mr. and Mrs. Hoying, I'm Mitch." He smiles at them.

"Oh, aren't you just adorable!" Connie exclaims, hugging him.

"Hi Mitch, nice to meet you." Rick shakes his hand once Mitch pulls away from the hug.

"Nice to meet you too, Sir."

"Scott has told us so much about you, you are as beautiful as he said."

"Thank you, Mrs. Hoying." Scott wraps his arms around Mitch's waist from behind, resting his chin on his shoulder and his one hand on Mitch's stomach.

"How long have you two been together?" Rick asks the couple.

"About 7 months, Sir." Just then, the doorbells rings again and Scott goes to answer it, coming back with Mike and Nel.

"Hi, Mommy. Hi, Papa." Mitch hugs both of his parents before they all sit down on the couch.

"Well, to begin, Alpha marked me." They all congratulate the couple. "And w-when he marked me... we had sex." He looks at his parents who glance at each other.

"Mitch, why would you—" Mitch cuts his mom off.

"I wasn't done, yet. We... um... we used a c-condom. But things... things happen where they don't work or they break."

"You're..?" Mike trails off, eyes wide.

Mitch tears up at the look on his parents' faces, "I'm pregnant." He whispers, holding Scott's hand tightly.

"How far along are you, sweetie?" Connie asks, setting a hand on Mitch's leg.

"Just a few days."

"Well, I'm happy for you two." Mitch smiles at her.

"Congratulations, you'll make great parents." Scott smiles widely when Rick says that.

Mitch's smile fades when he looks at his parents, "Mommy? Papa? Please say something."

"Mitchell, you know how we feel about sex before marriage. We raised you better than that, I'm disappointed in you." Nel tells him. Mitch hides his face in Scott's chest for two reasons: He was just called 'Mitchell' which has bad memories and his parents are disappointed in him.

"Nel, all due respect, it's his choice if he wants to have sex. And don't call him Mitchell, you should know that by now."

"You haven't even been together for a year, Scott." Mike jumps in.

"And we could've done it a lot sooner, Mike. I don't know why you're looking at him differently. If he weren't pregnant, you wouldn't even know about our sex life."

"The Bible says—" Mitch jumps up,

"Don't you dare bring up the Bible! According to some people, the Bible says I'm a sin 'cause I like dudes so if you're about to tell me that what I just did is a sin then I guess that's all I fucking am!" Mike and Nel stand up, too.

"Don't you dare curse at me, Mitchell." Nel tells him.

"Stop calling me Mitchell!"

"It's your name, what else am I supposed to call you?" Mitch quickly takes his shirt off and turns around to show Mike and Nel all of the scars across his backside. He then turns back around so they could see the scars on his frontside.

"I know that's my name, he carved it into my hip! I was Mitchell when I was with him. The one who caused all these ugly scars that I have to deal with everyday of my life. The PTSD, the panic and anxiety disorders, the trust issues are all from the one who called me Mitchell!" He yells, tears streaming down his face when he thinks about the painful memories.

His parents cover their mouths as they look at the scars. Mitch puts his shirt back on and brings his voice to just above a whisper, "I invited you guys here to tell you about my baby. The baby that I wasn't happy about either at first, but I love now. I invited you here to support me in one of the best things to happen to me and instead you make me remember the worst thing to happen to me."

"I'm so sorry, Mitch. I'll support you, I promise. You're not a sin, I shouldn't have said that." Nel apologizes.

"I forgive you."

"I can't wait to meet my grandson." Mitch smiles at Mike.

"Or granddaughter."

"No, you should have a son. Boys are better."

"Yes, because I have a choice in that."

"Thank god I didn't have to kick anyone out." Scott jumps in, making them all laugh.

"I love you, Alpha." Mitch tells him when he sits back down.

"And I love you, my strong Omega."
