"How have you been, Mitchell?" Mitch shivers, he could practically hear Carson's smirk.

"I've been okay, sir. How are you, sir?" Scott feels Mitch start to tremble in his arms and holds him tighter.

"I miss you, Mitchell. Don't you miss me, too?"

"N-no, sir. I'm sorry, sir. I'm very happy with Alpha Scott."

"Well that just won't work for me. You'll be coming back here with me because you don't belong to Scott, you belong to me, don't you?"

"N-no t-thank you, S-Sir. I—"

"I wasn't asking, Omega. God, does he always let you disrespect Alphas like that?"

"L-like what, S-sir? I-I'm sorry—" Scott gently takes the phone away from him and suddenly his voice is five tones deeper, almost using his Alpha voice with his eyes borderline red. He lets go of Mitch and turns around so he's facing the wall.

"No, you will stay away from my Omega and you will not make him feel sorry for saying no and having basic human rights. Call this number again and you will no longer have hands to dial a phone. Come to this house and I will make sure you regret it for the rest of your natural born life."

"I doubt it. I bet you're too much of a wimp to do that much damage."

"Like you said, I'm the Strongest Alpha Ever. You really wanna find out what I can do? I mean, come on, I've had to gotten that title somehow, right?" Scott hangs up and puts the phone down on the table, closing his eyes and sighing.

He stands there for a few seconds until he hears a small whimper behind him. He turns around and sees Mitch standing there with tears running down his face, arms wrapped around himself. His face immediately softens, his eyes fading back to blue as he rushes to comfort the small Omega.

"Come here, sweetheart." Scott pulls Mitch into a hug as the latter sobs into his chest, gripping his shirt as if he'd disappear, his legs giving out. Scott picks him up to hold on his hip and whispers sweet nothings in his ear to help calm him down. After about ten minutes, the sobs turn into small whimpers and hiccups.

"I-I'm s-scared, Alpha." Mitch whispers so quietly that Scott barely heard it.

"Shh. It's okay, I won't let him hurt you again." Scott whispers back. Scott walks over to the couch and goes to set Mitch down, only to earn a whine in response. Scott chuckles and turns around to sit down with Mitch on his lap.

"Hi, Mommy." Mitch reaches over to hold his mother's hand. "Why are you crying?" He asks once he sees tears in her eyes.

"Hi, honey. I just don't like to see you upset, that's all." She looks at his red, puffy cheeks and gives his hand a gentle squeeze. Mitch smiles slightly and looks at his dad, who has his head in his hands.

"Papa? I'm okay, see?" He smiles a little more when his dad looks up at him.

"Good, that's good, Mitchy. Why don't we go get lunch or something?"

"Can we, Alpha?" Mitch looks up at the blond.

"Yeah, of course. Are you sure? Do your eyes hurt?" Mitch nods a little, almost as if he's embarrassed for his eyes hurting.

"Yes, sir. My cheeks hurt, too."

"We can't have that, can we?" Mitch smiles at the memory of Scott taking care of him when they first met and shakes his head. "Alright, let's go fix that. We'll be right back." He tells Mitch's parents before they walk upstairs to the bathroom attached to their room. Scott picks Mitch up to set him on the counter and gets a cool, damp washcloth to lightly wipe his cheeks.

"May I ask you something, Sir?" Scott makes eye contact with Mitch for a second and continues what he's doing.

"You don't have to ask, baby."

"Why me, Alpha? You're the most perfect Alpha and you could probably have any Omega you want. Why would you choose one who has ugly scars all over their body and has nightmares every night and flinches whenever someone does so much as raises their voice?" Scott puts down the cloth and kisses Mitch, slow and passionate, before looking him in the eye.

"Listen to me, Mitchy. I chose you because you are the most beautiful person I've ever seen. Yes, you have lots of scars, but they're not ugly, my love. You had no choice in what he did to you and I know you have some stuff you have to work through and I can promise you that I won't leave your side through it. Am I okay with the fact that you have nightmares? No," Mitch looks down at that. Scott lifts his chin back up to look at him. "Hey, no I'm not okay with it, because I know that you're suffering every time you have them. I've said it before and I'll continue to say it until you believe me: It's not your fault, Angel. I promise you."
