Alpha and Omega

I wrote this at 2:30 AM. I just love insomnia (notice the sarcasm)

SURPRISE CHAPTER!!

The Pack (and parents) decided to go to a restaurant nearby for lunch.

"Hello, how many?" The waitress asks.

"Hi, table for eight please." Kevin tells her. She nods and tells them to follow her, almost all of the couples making some sort of physical contact; Kevin and Todrick holding hands, Kirstie and Avi linking arms, and Scott with an arm resting around Mitch's shoulders.

When they sit down, Mitch sits between Scott and Mike with Todrick sitting right across from him so he felt as safe as possible.

"Hi, I'm Morgan and I'll be taking care of you today. Can I start you all off with something to drink?" The whole time Morgan is speaking, she's making flirty eyes at Scott. He noticed, but he obviously wasn't interested as he is very gay and in a relationship. Mitch, on the other hand, didn't like it very much and started to overthink and get insecure. He didn't even realized he had zoned out until he felt Scott tapping his arm.

"You alright, baby boy? You zoned out a little there." Morgan's face dropped a little at the name but recovered with a fake smile again.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Sir." He looks back to Morgan, "May I just have water, please?" She gives him a death glare but writes it down anyway and moves on to Mike. Once she's gone, Scott turns to Mitch, who was zoned out again while itching the same spot on his hand, making it red.

"Stop that." Mitch snaps out of it again looks up at him.

"Stop what, Sir?" He asks, continuing to scratch. Scott grabs Mitch's hand to hold so he stops.

"Stop scratching. And stop getting all in your head and getting insecure, you have no reason, Sunshine."

"How did you..?" Mitch places he and Scott's hand under his chin to practically hug them.

"Because I know you, my sweet boy." Mitch doesn't respond for a few minutes until Scott hears him quietly speak.

"Thank you, Alpha." Scott kisses Mitch's forehead and starts talking to Kevin, Mitch not letting go of their hands.

"Mitchy, watch this." Kirstie gets his attention without Avi knowing. The two Omegas smile while Kirstie braids Avi's hair. Scott finally looks over at Avi a few minutes later and starts to laugh.

"Nice hair, Av. It looks great, really." Mitch nearly spits out his drink when Scott points it out and laughs at Avi's reaction.

"I wonder who did that.." Avi looks over at a very giggly Kirstie.

"What are you looking at me for? Mitch helped me!" She tells him, laughing.

"Really? Mitch, who is sitting across the table, helped you?" He asks with a smile.

"Yeah, Kitty, I'm way too innocent for that." Mitch smiles as well.

"Oh, Monkey, you are many things. However, innocent is not one of them." Todrick chimes in, not looking up from his menu.

"Who's side are you on?" Mitch laughs when Todrick just shakes his head. This all goes on for a few more minutes until the waitress comes back and asks if they're ready, which everyone is, except Mitch.

"I still need a few minutes, I'm sorry." No one minds, but the waitress rolls her eyes and mumbles something under her breath as she walks away.

"Alpha, what's that word?" Mitch points to the menu.

Scott looks to see where Mitch is pointing, "That's spaghetti, my love." Mitch thanks him and returns to looking at the menu.

What no one, except Todrick, knows is that yes, Mitch does know how to read, but even in school he struggled with it. He had trouble in school and needed a tutor, but when Carson was his Alpha, Mitch never saw anything he would've been able to read, so he forgot how to a little bit.

"Are you ready yet?" Morgan rudely asks Mitch. He nods and they all order their meals.

"I don't think she likes me very much, Sir." Mitch tells Scott as he lays his head on his shoulder.

"None of that, Mitchy. It doesn't matter what she thinks."

"I have to use the bathroom." Mitch informs Scott. He nods and they both get up to walk to the restrooms, holding hands. On their way back to the table, they're stopped by Morgan.

"Hi, Alpha. How are you today?" She asks, puffing her chest out more.

"I'm good. I'm sorry, but we should get back to our Pack." He tries to move around her, but she grabs his arm.

"Would you like to go out sometime, Sir?"

"Morgan, I already have an Omega. I'm very happy with him, so no, I can't go out with you." She glances over at Mitch in disgust and smiles back at Scott again.

"So? I'm sure I'm much better than.. that thing." Mitch looks down at he and Scott's hand and pulls it away.

Scott frowns and calmly grabs his hand to hold again, "No, 'that thing' is a human. A beautiful human that you are being very rude to. Even if I weren't taken, I wouldn't go out with you because while you may be pretty on the outside, you're terrible on the inside. Now, where is your manager?" Her face drops, while Mitch smiles up at Scott.

"Over here." She turns around and stomps away to get her boss, Scott explaining everything once she does.

"I'm very sorry, Sir. I will get you a new waiter and your meal is on the house." The couple thanks him and carries on with their day, everything else going as planned.
