When I saw I had a text from Drake two weeks ago my first thought was Am I hallucinating? Then once the initial confusion was gone I started to panic. I thought something must've gone wrong. That was the only reason he'd be contacting me. With slightly shaky hands I opened the text. The one word dissipated the panic and brought back the confusion.

Hey

Hey? Seriously that's it? I was panicking for this one word. I guess I had a reason to since the last time Drake and I talked, we were having a conversation about people trying to kill him.

I replied back and was surprised that he wanted to hang out again. The first sign that the danger was over and he wanted to spend time with me? Maybe Elena was right. Drake might have a little crush on me. The thought made my heart race but I found that I didn't mind. I was actually happy, almost giddy. I tried to mask my emotions as I answered him back.

That's great! I don't know if I should let you back in my daily life again... but since you seem pretty decided, why not?

We talked all the time after that. Never in person because Drake was still being cautious but we talked, like actual conversations between the two of us, and they lasted for hours. I guess he was just shy before and reluctant to let anyone in because he sure could talk.

I asked Drake when he'll know for sure if he's finally safe. He never told me, just said soon. Of course that drove me insane and I even shouted for some time hoping he'd tell me, but he's become immune to my yelling. It doesn't even faze him anymore.

It's not that I didn't enjoy talking to him. I just wanted to finally be face to face since it was different that way. I missed his cheeky smirk and the glimpses of a smile and laugh. So with each day that ended I became more hopeful the day he'd know would come. Maybe Elena is right about me, too. I might have a little crush.

One ordinary Saturday I was lying in my bed staring at the ceiling. I usually sleep in but Elena decided to call me right at eight to ask which One Direction member was the best since she and Jamie were arguing.

"You seriously woke me up for this?" I ask in annoyance.

"Yes we really need you to settle this. Jamie thinks you're the only unbiased person," Elena insisted.

"Ugh why?" I groan. I'm not a morning person and she woke me up three hours earlier than planned.

"Because you're up anyway. Yeah I'm asking her Jamie be quiet," Elena says to her sister who I hear in the background.

"Okay fine, what's the question again?" I ask.

"Best One Direction member?"

I honestly don't know anything about One Direction except that it was a band of five boys that girls go crazy for. Plus they're really huge on tumblr.

"Um the British one?" I guess.

"Which British one? There's four of them," Elena tells me in exasperation.

"I thought they're all Irish except for one." I really need to start paying more attention to pop culture.

"No they're all British except for one Irish," Elena explains patiently like she's talking to a child.

I roll my eyes. "Fine. Then I choose the Irish one. I admire his desire to be unique."

I have to take the phone away from my ear because Elena is cheering loudly. "Ha! I told you Niall was the best!"

"You cheated!" Jamie complains.

"Nope you heard every word I said," Elena says smugly. Then she remembers that I'm still on the phone. "Sorry, thanks for your help Aria!"
