Peeps, I don't know how old Steven was when he was young, like around the time he made the Crystal Gems theme song and all... So I'm gonna guess he is 6... If you know, please comment. Enjoy this chapter! ;)

"Wh-What do you mean 'there's more'?! You're not the only one?!" Her mother yelled.

"They live down the beach. I talked to them. They're... magical..." Sally said remembering their special weopons.

"What?" Her mother frowned.

"They are! They made weopons and stuff and I made one, too! My gem glowed and showed where I came from!" Sally said.

"Uh... Are you sure you're okay, honey?" Her mom said laughing nervously and grabbing her shoulder.

"Yes! Ugh, I'm not crazy if that's what you think! I can prove it to you that I have magic!" Sally yelled. She closed her eyes and tried to summon a staff again. She groaned and tried to force it more. Nothing happened.

"Um..." Her mother raised an eyebrow.

"Ugh, it's hard! I'll just have to take you to them!" Sally said grabbing her mother's wrist.

"Hey! Ugh, Sally!" Her mother said ripping herself out of Sally's grip.

"Come on, Mom." Sally said urging her mother to follow her.

"Ugh, no, Sally! You don't have magic! You're just a normal little girl with a small birth defect!" Her mother yelled.

"Small birth defect?! I'm orange! I have a gem on my chest that I was just randomly born with! I can make visions with my gem and project my dreams! And you think that's a birth defect?!" Sally bursted.

"Yes! What else could it possibly be?!" Her mother yelled.

"You never believe me! Dad always believed me, and when he died, I had nobody to talk to, because nobody ever believed me! Especially you!" Sally yelled.

"Don't bring your father into this! He has nothing to do with you being delusional!" Her mother accidently yelled. Sally's jaw dropped and she frowned. Her eyes grew wide. She was silent. Her mother covered her mouth in sheer horror at what she had said. "I-I'm sorry..." She whispered.

"I told you..." Sally said turning her head away. "You never believe me. All my life, I was afraid that you would break and say what you believed about me... And that finally happened..." Sally said. She walked down the street, away from her mother.

The sun was setting. Sally was sitting on the beach, all alone. She let one tear slip out, but no more came out. She held her knees close to her. Her visor was on the ground, revealing her true orange eye color.

"Hello, Sally." A familiar voice said. Sally turned up and saw Garnet standing over her. Garnet smiled softly and sat down next to her. "Are you okay?"

"No... My mom didn't believe me when I told her about you guys and me having... magic..." Sally said wiping away the tear.

"I doubt humans would understand truly what we are." Garnet said.

"Am I not... Really a human?" Sally said clutching her gem. She finally questioned someone she could relate to about her humanity.

"Depends. Are you a gem?" Garnet asked.

"What do you mean? I have a gem..." Sally said.

"Yes, but you have been living with humans for how long?"

"Six years..." Sally sighed.

"You're more accustomed to the human ways, and you know nothing of the gem way." Garnet said.

"Can you teach me?" Sally asked.

"Only if you want to be taught." Garnet said.

Sally contemplated on it for a moment. What about her mom? What would she think? Would she be... happy to know that she was wrong and Sally had finally found the people she belongs with? Would she feel guilty about never believing Sally? Sally didn't want her mother to feel that way...

After a moment of thinking, Sally breathed in and sighed. She hoped she was doing the right thing...

"Yes, I want to."
