(The Crystal Gems' POV)

"I'm grounded?" Steven asked.

"Well, of course!" Pearl said, clearly upset still about Sally.

"You disobeyed a direct order." Garnet said.

"Yeah, and now you're grounded, and we're gonna bury you!" Amethyst said holding a shovel.

"That isn't how it works!" Steven said. Greg stepped through the door. "Dad?"

"Uh, you guys may want to come see this." He said. The gems stepped outside and saw the entire ocean was gone.

Everyone was outside, looking around, taking pictures.

"Hey!" Mayor Dewey yelled. "It's those magical ladies! What's going on?!" He yelled.

"The ocean is gone. Obviously." Garnet said.

"Explain this!" Mayor Dewey ordered.

"Lapis Lazuli and Sally have stolen the ocean." Garnet said.

"Sally? You mean that girl who you live with? She stole the ocean?" Sadie asked.

"Yes. Her and Lapis Lazuli." Garnet said.

The gems began packing for a trip back at the temple. They were going to cross the desert, and find out where Lapis, Sally and the ocean is. The gems, Connie and Greg, and lion all went together.

While telling Steven about what corrupted gems really are, they came across the ocean, only it was like a pillar of water, going miles into the sky.

Everyone got out to look at it.

"This is it. They're here." Garnet said.

"I don't understand. What does she want with the ocean?" Pearl asked.

"YOU SHOULDN'T BE HERE." A loud voice that sounded like Lapis said.

"Lapis Lazuli, it's me! Steven!" Steven yelled. A giant face that looked like Lapis came out of the pillar.

"You need to leave!" She ordered.

"No! Not until you give us our ocean!" Steven said. A water hand grabbed him.

"I said leave!" Lapis yelled. A water Steven came out and punched him away. Then a water Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl came out.

Each Crystal gem was fighting their water versions. But when the water Steven began drowning Steven and Connie, things got bad. Greg ran over the water Steven, setting the children free. The water Steven glared at Steven.

"Lapis, I don't want to fight anymore!" Steven yelled. The water Steven got ready to throw a fast water ball. He readied his arm. "I said I don't want to..." The water Steven threw it. "Fight anymore!" Steven summoned his shield and blocked it. The sound it gave off was enough to take out each water Crystal Gem.

The gems gasped. His shield disappeared and he walked closer to the water.

"Lapis, I'm coming up to see you. So please don't kill me." Steven said.

"Wait, Steven!" Connie yelled. But he jumped in. A hand lifted him all the way up to the top.

Once he got to the top, he saw Lapis. And behind her, stood Sally.

"What are you doing here, Steven?" Lapis asked.

"What? No, what are you doing here with the ocean?!" Steven asked. "And why are you hiding, Sally?"

"That's not important!" Lapis yelled.

"Can't we work this out? Gems shouldn't fight each other!" Steven said.

"Don't you know anything, Steven?!" Lapis asked. "Your friends, they don't really care about other gems. All they care about is the Earth. But I never believed in this place." Lapis said. She walked away, Sally with her. They sat down and stared up at the stars. Steven sat in between Sally and Lapis. "I just want to go home with Sally."

"I know how important home can be, but that's why I'm here. You took the ocean away. And the ocean is an important part of my home." Steven said.

"We're only using the ocean because my gem is cracked. If we could just stretch it far enough to reach home..." Lapis sighed.

"I can fix your gem! I have healing powers!" Steven said.

"Since when do you have healing powers?" Sally asked, talking for the first time in a while.

"For a little while." Steven said.

"Well, what should I do?" Lapis asked.

"Oh, this may feel weird." Steven said.

"Just do it..." Lapis said. Steven sighed and licked his hand. He put his spot on her gem, and the crack healed. Lapis gasped. She turned, and her eyes were normal blue. "Thank you!" Lapis said. She summoned her wings. She grabbed Sally hands. "Are you ready?" She asked. Sally nodded. But before she left, Sally hugged Steven goodbye.

"Tell Pearl I said goodbye." She told Steven. Steven nodded and hugged her back.

"I'll miss you. It won't be the same back home without you." Steven said.

"Just think on the positive side. At least I finally get to see my real home." Sally said.

"Earth is your real home. Please come back with me." Steven said.

"I'm sorry, Steven." Sally said standing up next to Lapis again. "Goodbye, Steven..." Sally said.

Lapis said her goodbye and grabbed Sally. They flew away, into the darkness of space.

The water came falling down, while Steven was at the top. He screamed as he fell towards the ground. He saw Lion warp to him with Connie.

"Steven! Reach!" She yelled. Steven reached for her hand and grabbed it. Lion then warped back to the ground. The place was coming down.

Steven bubbled everyone with the van and they walked back to the surface. As soon as he got there, Steven grabbed Pearl and pulled her into a hug, crying.

"I tried to get her to come back home! She didn't want to!" Steven said. Pearl gasped a little, knowing he was talking about Sally.

"She wanted to leave. Now she's gone." Garnet said, clearly upset over her leaving. "She doesn't want to be a Crystal Gem, and that's fine!" She yelled walking into the temple.

Pearl breathed in heavily and looked up at the sky.

"Come back home..." She mumbled.
