(Some chapters will have large time skips. 6 years later when Steven is twelve.)
"Why would they want in the temple?" Sally questioned.
"Maybe they wanted all the gems?" Amethyst said.
"I don't know about that... But... Maybe their Commander is in their..." Pearl said stabbing one.
"Hey guy- Woah, what is all of this?" Steven asked coming into the temple.
"Hey, Steven." Amethyst greeted.
"Oh, sorry, Steven. We'll get these centipeedles out as soon as possible. We think they were trying to get into the temple." Pearl said.
"No, it's cool. I like them." He said attempting to pet one. It suddenly sprayed acid, causing a hole to melt into the floor.
"Hey, you guys. These things don't have gems." Amethyst said picking her nose.
"That's means there must be a mother somewhere." Garnet said punching one down.
"We need to find it before anyone gets hurt." Pearl said.
"How can anyone be seriously hurt by these small things?" Sally asked ripping one in half.
"The mother will be much bigger than these." Garnet said.
"Ooh, can I come? Can I?" Steven asked.
"Steven, until you learn to control the power in your gem, we'll protect humanity, okay?" Pearl said breaking one's neck.
"Aw. Hey, get outta there!" Steven began yelling at one. He shooed it away. He then looked up at the open freezer and gasped. "Where did you get these? I thought they stopped making them!" Steven said referring to the frozen dairy he loved so much that was called a Cookie Cat.
"Well, we heard that, too..." Pearl said closing the freezer door.
"Yeah, so we went and stole a bunch of 'em!" Amethyst said hopping up on the counter. Sally leaned against it next to her.
"I went back and payed!" Pearl growled.
"Chill, Pearl." Sally laughed.
"I am!" Pearl retorted.
"It was everyone's idea." Amethyst said.
"Not really." Garnet said as her gauntlets disappeared.
"We got them to make you happy." Pearl said. Steven began singing with a loud and long 'oh', scaring the life out of Pearl.
"He's a frozen treat with an all new taste, cause he came to this planet from outer space! A refugee of an interstellar war, but now's he's at your local grocery store! Cookie Cat! He's a pet for a your tummy! Cookie Cat! He's super duper yummy! Cookie Cat! He left his family behind! Cookie Caaat! Now available at Gurgans off route 109."
Amethyst and Sally began laughing while Pearl and Garnet were clapping.
"Nice job, Steven." Sally laughed rubbing his hair. He smiled brightly and took a bite out of his Cookie Cat.
Suddenly, his gem began to glow.
"I love it's two flavors combined." Steven said looking up at Garnet, Amethyst and Sally.
"Steven..." Amethyst mumbled.
"Huh?" He looked down at his gem.
"Quick, try and summon your weopon." Amethyst said.
"Yeah, another weopon would be nice around here." Sally said.
"Okay..." He said. His gem began to dull. "Ack! It's fading! What do I do?! What do I do?!"
"Steven, calm down, you can't force it." Pearl said.
"Yeah, you're gonna poop in your pants." Amethyst said.
"Please don't." Garnet said.
"Yeah, we have to wash that." Sally stuck her tongue out.
"Aw..." Steven said as his gem light faded away.
"It's okay, Steven. You probably weren't going to be able to do it the first time anyways." Pearl said.
"Ugh. Can't you guys just teach me?" Steven asked.
"Oh! I'll go first! And Sally, you can join. You still haven't mastered it even after six years of practice." Pearl said.
"Ugh." Sally hung her head down, not wanting to train.
"Haha." Amethyst laughed.
