Sally's limp and pain started getting worse, but she kept trying to hide it. She grunted in pain, causing someone to notice her.
"Are you okay?" Pearl asked.
"Y-Yes..." Sally stuttered, eyes wide. She was gripping her pant leg tightly, trying to hide the pain.
"Sally...?" Pearl raised an eyebrow. The other gems turned and looked at her.
"Sally, what is it?" Garnet asked.
"Yeah, man. You can tell us." Amethyst said.
"N-No, I can't. You won't be able to do the mission if I do..." Sally mumbled.
"What's going to be able to stop us from completing the mission?" Steven asked. Garnet walked up and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Tell us." She said. Sally sighed in defeat.
"I... I accidentally tripped over a Crystal Shrimp and got a bruise from it's shard." She said really fast, making it hard for them to understand.
"What did you say?" Amethyst asked. Sally growled, really not wanting them to know.
"I TOUCHED A SHRIMP AND GOT HURT!" She shouted. Pearl gasped.
"Where?! Those could kill you!" She said throwing her arms out. Sally grabbed her head, suddenly feeling dizzy.
"Ugh..." She groaned. She fell to the ground, passing out.
"SALLY!" Pearl shouted, trying to lift her up. Garnet lifted her up and carried her in her arms.
"She wanted us to complete this mission. And that's what we're going to do." She said. Pearl and Amethyst looked at each other and nodded.
They began running up the steps, trying to hurry and get to the top.
"Look out!" Pearl yelled, stopped them. The wall broke and water came rushing out, blocking their way.
The gems looked to Steven for something they could use.
"What do you have?" Garnet asked.
"Yeah, man! Find something so we can hurry up and get up there! We gotta help Sally!" Amethyst said.
Steven began searching through his bag for something, until he pulled out a yellow raft. It filled up with air. Steven then, though that maybe it would stay still as he threw it onto the water. It floated away.
"Don't worry, Steven. It would have worked." Garnet said. She set Sally down and kicked a pillar down for them to walk across. She then picked Sally back up and walked across.
They ran up the steps and eventually made it to the top. Steven looked around in amazement.
"The Moon Goddess pedestal. And the moon is almost over head! Now all we need is the statue!" Pearl smiled.
Steven smiled and began digging around in his bag for it. He suddenly frowned and began frantically searching in other pockets.
"Steven?" Pearl asked. Realization dawned upon the boy.
"I forgot it..." He mumbled.
"What?" Amethyst asked.
"I forgot it at the temple... I must have left it when I was getting the other stuff." He mumbled.
"What?! What are we supposed to do now?!" Pearl yelled pulling her hair. They looked to the moon and saw it was just about to be over head. "There's no time to go back..." She said, her hand over her mouth.
"Wait! I have an idea!" Steven said as he pulled out his weird doll.
"Will that work?" Amethyst asked. Pearl looked to Garnet. Garnet just shrugged her shoulders.
Steven walked over to the pedestal and placed the toy on it. The moon was aligned with the pedestal. It glowed brightly as the doll began to float.
The gems were hoping this worked. They didn't want to let Sally down. It may be the last mission she will ever go on.
The doll began to shake and it blew up, sending fuzz all over the place. The gems screamed as the Spire began to shake, all of it's magic dieing out. The Spire began to fall apart, sending the gems into the air. Garnet dropped Sally, causing Pearl to freak out.
"SALLY!" She screamed.
The ocean filled in the whirlpool, causing Sally to sink.
Pearl screamed as she started swimming towards Sally. The deeper she went, the more pressure Pearl felt.
She eventually was able to grab Sally and swim to the surface.
"We need to heal Sally somehow!" Garnet said. They saw the raft in the distance and swam to it. They began the journey back to Beach City.

After dropping Steven off at the temple, the gems quickly went to Rose's fountain to see if it was working. Sally woke up while they were warping. She stared at Garnet for a moment. Garnet wondered why she wasn't screaming in pain.
"Garnet...? Pearl..." Sally mumbled. Pearl turned and gasped.
Sally's form was very glitchy and was shrinking and growing. She may poof. And she has never poofed before, so she would have no idea on how to reform.
The Warp stream ended and they quickly rushed to the fountain. Luckily, it was still running, so they could heal her.
The three gems tried to place Sally in the pink tears, but something bad happened right before they could.
Sally scratched Garnet's face, knocking her visors off. She jumped away from them.
"Hey, man! Why'd you do that?!" Amethyst yelled. Sally just growled. Her form stretched out, causing a loud, eardrum shattering scream to erupt from her. Dark, red and orange spots began forming on her arms.
"S-She's..." Garnet's three eyes grew wide. Her next word sounded like two people. "Corrupting." Garnet split apart, causing Ruby and Sapphire to fall to the ground. Pearl gasped seeing them.
"We have to help!" Ruby yelled.
"We can't poof her! She may not be able to reform! Gems are made with the knowledge of knowing how to control her gem, but apparently Sally was made, not knowing her purpose!" Sapphire tried to reason.
"B-But..." Ruby said, feeling bad. Garnet pretty much raised Sally ever since she moved in. It was like Ruby and Sapphire were her parents. She couldn't just stand around, watching her suffer.
"Guys... She's gone." Amethyst pointed. The two gems turned and saw Pearl chasing down Sally.
"What are we going to do...?" Ruby and Sapphire mumbled.
Next chapter is all about Sally! Yay! I feel like it's been years since she had one of those, but that is just because I take forever when I write stories. Hope you enjoyed this chapter! Vote, share and comment!
