THIRTEEN - Life Saver

[YOONGI'S POV]

I woke up early so I won't go to school seeing Shin walking her way. I pedaled down as fast as I could so she won't see me riding my bike and think how ungentleman I am for the nth time.

"We have a job. Today, were going to check the facilities here in school," our president said. "Yoongi, you're in charge of the tables and chairs in 1st Year building."

I panicked. "1st Year? Why not in 4th Year since I am the representative of 4th Year?"

"Because 1st Year students are hardheaded and immature. If I send someone there who is in 1st Year as well, do you think they will respect that officer? They will only tell him they are in the same level."

"Well, that's why he's an officer," I replied. "He must not let them do that and teach them the word, 'respect'."

Our president exhaled. "Yoongi, since you are lecturing me over this, you're going to check both 1st Year and 4th Year. Got it?"

Damn it.

"Fine fine. I'll go."

I looked at my wristwatch just to know what time is it. It's 6:45am. I am so sure that Shin still has fifteen minutes to walk before she reach the school and 30 minutes to spend her time in the library.

I walked as fast as I could. Since she belongs to SSC, their room is the first one in the 1st Year building.

I entered their classroom and the girls started to scream my name. The boys suddenly stood up to find their proper seats. I'm not trying to be boastful but this is my impact to them.

"Your class begins at 7:30am, right?" I asked them, trying to be calmed as soon as I arrived.

"Yes, Sunbaenim."

"So what are those disgusting words written on your board? Did your teacher write those?"

"No, Sunbaenim."

"Ah, so a classmate did that? Then, why aren't you erasing it?"

A female student stood up, probably their classroom president, tried to erase the writings on the board but I stopped her by asking, "Did you write those?"

She answered, "No."

"Then you have no right to erase those," I told her. "Who can tell me who wrote those disgusting words?!" I shouted. I can see that they were surprised to see me acting that way. "If you don't tell me, I will request the principal to bring your parents!"

Everybody pointed at her. She looks familiar. She is the one who gave me a bottled water during the basketball championship.

"Sunbae..." she muttered. "I didn't do that. Shin did it herself to appear pathetic."

Upon hearing those words, the fire inside of me suddenly spit.

"The Shin... I know... will not do that. I think it is you now who is trying her best to appear pathetic."

"That's right!" someone agreed. "They always bully Shin eventhough she is not doing anything. Look at her table and chair Sunbaenim. They vandalized it."

I looked at Shin's small space in their classroom. Her table is full of bullcraps I don't even know existed. Her chair looks like it came from the trash. I mean, everything is a trash inside since they look old but I can't accept the fact that Shin's table and chair are even older. I asked the boys to exchange the table and chair to the one who bullied Shin instead.

"What's your name?" I asked her. Her classmates looked surprised when I asked that, whispering... 'She said they already kissed and they are dating... why did he ask her about her name?'

"We didn't kiss or dating so shut the fuck up!" I shouted again.

"Ya, I'm asking you! What's your name?!"

"Jennie! My name is Jennie!" she replied nervously.

"Okay, Jennie. Kindly stand up, erase Shin on the board and write your own name."

"W-What?"

"You heard me. Let's see if 'JENNIE IS A SLUT. JENNIE HAS A SUGAR DADDY. JENNIE IS NOT A VIRGIN ANYMORE. JENNIE IS A WITCH' fit the chalkboard better."

"And yeah, do not erase those writings on the board. Wait for Shin and I am sure she will erase those as soon as she arrives. That's how nice she is."

"That's the same feeling you have given her, right Jennie? But she will understand that in a much positive sense. She will think you are not allowed to feel the same way since she already know how painful it is. Consider yourself luckier since she experienced too much."

"You are SSC, right? You should be the model to the other sections but what are you doing? Instead of helping each other, you are dragging anyone down. How pathetic."

"A reminder to everybody: Lay a hand to Shin again and you are all dead."

I told them and walked out of that hell.
