New Personality Problems

Fire groaned, wanting to bang her head against the kitchen table she was currently sitting at, "Do I have to go to school again? It was boring enough last time." No one was in the room except them so she didn't bother keeping up her act.

Danny snorted, but didn't get the chance to respond. A loud bang, some crashing, and a long string of curses coming from the basement.

"Christ Almighty when will they-AAAAAAHHH!!!!"

A green glow shined from bellow as a loud explosion like a gun going off came up before everything went quiet. Danny's eyes widened before he hoofed it to the lab with Fire following behind.

He swung the door open and raced down the stairs, the wolf girl jumping over his head and skidding across the lab floor. The raven haired teen stopped right next to her, "Phantom?!" He asked, panic in his voice.

The albino groaned from his spot on the floor and, surprisingly, the weapons stopped firing. "Leaping lizards, what in the world happened?" Phantom said in an oddly soft voice as he sat up. He rubbed his head with a groan, "I feel as if I have been split in two."

Fire blinked at him, "Leaping...what?" If she were in her natural form her tail would be drooping and her ears would be tilted in confusion.

The blue eyed boy walked over to his boyfriend and helped him up, "Are you okay?" He looked over at the knocked down invention and his eyes widened, "Did the dream catcher fall on you?"

"Dream catcher? I believe-" Phantom gasped and his eyes flashed to an ice blue. He pulled away from Danny and rubbed his head again.

"Fuck me runnin', what in the literal hell happened?!" He snarled before looking over his shoulder, "The dream catcher...well isn't this fucking fantastic!" He crossed his arms and cocked his hip, looking around at the lab, "I should fucking kill your parents Danny; I'm getting tired of getting my ass blasted by their shitty inventions."

Fire blinked again, "What the fuck?" She tilted her head, "Phantom? What's..." she shook her head, "are you okay?"

Danny blinked dumbly at his boyfriend in surprise, "Did you just curse?" He paused, "and say you should kill my parents!?"

"Tch, I'm just fucking fine! I got blasted by a fucking ecto ray and my body feels like I've been put through a fucking grinder! Yeah, I'm just-" his eyes flashed back to green and he straightened; in fact, he was as stiff as a board, "Daniel...what is happening? I don't quite feel like myself."

He glanced around nervously before standing tall with his hands folded behind his back, "What I mean is, I feel like myself, but I do not..." he shakes his head, as dumbfounded as the others.

Danny blinked at him, "Are you...switching between personalities? Is that what the dream catcher does?"

Fire scowled at Phantom, "Split personality or not, you don't need to snap at me." She crossed her arms, her tail materializing out of pure flame for a second, flicking in irritation.

Phantom gave her a slight apologetic look, but kept the mask up, "My apologies, Miss Wolf, but I don't-" his eyes flashed blue again, Fire and Danny catching it this time. Phantom relaxed his posture and turned his head away with a scowl, "Okay, this is getting fucking annoying really fucking quick."

The wolf girl threw her hands up, "You're telling me!? I can't decide whether or not I should be pissed off!"

Danny waved her off, "Maybe if you go through the catcher again it'll-"

"Danny! Fire! Phantom! You're gonna be late!" Jazz shouted to them and Fire groaned.

"Damn, well this should be fun huh?" Phantom smirked derisively, "I'm sure this will have the school talking for months."
