It was Sunday, the sun was just rising, painting the sky with pinks and oranges. Fire watched it for a moment, a smile on her face. It also just so happened to be Easter.
She looked up at Phantom's peaceful expression, then over to Danny's. After another minute the wolf girl slowly got out of bed, pausing when she saw either one of them move too much for her liking. After about 5 minutes of the stop and go game, Fire was finally out of bed. She stretched herself out with a light sigh, wincing at the loud cracking of her back and joints.
Silver, who'd been sleeping in her room, walked in with bunny ears on her head. The sight of them made Fire snort, "Why am I not surprised that you know what day it is?" She muttered more to herself.
Silver wagged her tail, the bunny ears on her head bouncing lightly. The wolf hybrid rolled her eyes before walking over to her discarded jacket and slipping it on. She grabbed a pen and paper from her pocket and wrote a quick note, using a little bit of frost to stick it to Phantom's shirt.
Fire smiled in satisfaction, nodding to herself before starting to only use the bare minimum of her power to make little eggs out of ice, adding an extra boost so they would explode when touched. Maddie and Jack had gone to some convention and she'd told Jazz not to touch them should she find them first.
The wolf girl left a trail of them all the way down the hall, the stairs, and stopped at the front door. She smiled at Silver, scratching her ears, "Can you wait here?" The wolf yipped lightly in affirmation, sitting down next to the door as the hybrid opened it.
Fire grinned, "Thanks." With that, she walked out and gently closed the door behind her.
At the ungodly hour of 6:00 am on a Sunday, no one was awake to see her slip out of the house. She casually started walking down the street, ears flickering in every direction to make sure she wouldn't be caught.
It didn't take long to reach her destination. She smiled once she reached their usual clearing in the woods, rubbing her hands together, "Let's see if I can pull this off." The wolf girl charged her hands with fire and ice before getting to work.
Fire flicked her wrists, creating a log cabin style building out of ice. Above the door it said, "Happy Easter!" Inside of the building was what only could be described as a party room. Tables that would hold all kinds of food lined the walls inside. Lights were strung up all around the room, nearly covering the entire ceiling above the rafters, burning like fireflies on a dark blue backdrop. The soft grass of the clearing was left alone, giving the building a natural carpet and a kind of magical feel.
The wolf girl then created a stage outside. It wasn't a concert stage, but just a small stage that didn't need to be over done. It was a relaxed day so why make the stage really big?
Fire smiled in satisfaction, dusting her hands off, "I've still got plenty of time to make breakfast and get the rest of this shit done."
The wolf girl made a few fire crystal wolves to catch some rabbits and ducks for her while she ran back to FentonWorks. As she suspected though, the house was still quiet. Unfortunately, the next time she left she'd have to change into her human form, but that was fine. This was more important anyway.
Fire grabbed some bacon from the fridge, eggs, and pancake mix from the cabinet, quickly getting to work.
Cooking the bacon was the easiest part. All she had to do was blow on it and it was done in seconds. No burnt pieces either so that was good! The eggs were a little harder because she had to make sure no egg shell got into it, but it wasn't too bad and they got done pretty fast too. The last thing was the pancakes. Those were only hard because of the time crunch. By that time the smell of the other food was wafting up the stairs and she'd heard some shuffling a few minutes ago.
